I honestly feel that the Vector Strike Nerf was enough.

I'll still take mine, as I love Daemon Engines though.

I certainly didn't expect a hilariously broken unit to be nerfed.

Well now that everyone's bought Heldrakes they need them to go out and buy lots of Chaos Daemons.

You want power creep? Because that's how you get power creep.

Some units need buffing, some units need nerfing. You can't just buff EVERYTHING.
Heldrake was woefully overpowered and needed a hit. This brings it in line with pretty much every other flyer in the game. Are there other internal balance issues within the CSM dex? Of course. But bringing everything else up to the same stupid level as the heldrake isn't a good design solution.

There is a reasonable limit, but I prefer everyone's toys be valuable rather than everything is underwhelming on it's own.

In addition, the best counter to power creep is to release everything simultaneously and to not design things in a vacuum, as me and my friends managed to hammer out.

Make the rich slightly less rich but make the poor also rich.

So rather than drag everyone down to the Dark Talon's level, bring everyone up to the current vendetta's level.

It's still the best flyer in the game and still undercosted. It's just not the best by miles and literally worth 4x it's points anymore; this is not the same thing as "garbage".

I can see where this is good to tone down spamming 3 heldrakes or whatever, but as someone who only ever takes 0-1 of them, this seems a bit harsh. No one ever really had too much of a problem with my single drake. Not that it wasn't good, but its possible to deal with/ work around just one. Even more so before it was faq'd to be a turret. Now with the nerf to VS I just don't see it being all that useful anymore. Its not difficult to out maneuver a single drake that can't turn its neck, and you don't have to fear VS since it will can only take out one model/HP.

The hadesdrake was also fun. It was passable AA and helped take out some ground targets being able to easily shoot rear/side armor after VS. Now your opponent has to go pretty far out of their way to allow you to VS and shoot anything on the same turn, let alone not being able to do both to the same target anymore. The hades cannon may as well not even be an option if it has to be turret mounted. Sure you toned down a powerful unit, but you've removed yet another option from book already kinda on the bland side.

I don't think the single drake was ever really that broken. The problem is, was, and always will be: spam.

I will have no problems spamming all 3 of mine...that combined with 3 laspreds, a ton of cultists and sorcerors crapping daemonettes everywhere should do the trick...double force-orging of course

I'm not going to be cordial with the broken game anymore...
