Is there a canonical reason why Khorne Berserkers have no access to assault vehicles, except for landraiders? I know Khorne is too dumb to use magic, but too dumb to use a welder to make open-topped a rhino?

There's fluff for it. Rules =/= fluff and all that jazz.

Besides, Khorne's odd with magic. Arguably one could say he's just pure magic fun and his magical blessings on weapons are but he also lets summonings and individuals guide his ships. Just more of no using it for combat eges.

Khorne doesn't hate magic, he just think it's dishonorable. Victory in combat should be achieved through superior martial ability over your opponent, not some innate "gift".

As for the lack of assault vehicles, Games Workshop has a phobia of assault that is almost as immense as their boner for the Fear USR. So they've minimized the amount of assault vehicles armies have access too.

How to fix Berzerkers: "The unit may take a Chaos Rhino as a Dedicated Transport. This Chaos Rhino has an assault ramp, but is otherwise identical to the Chaos Rhino entry on page 99."

There, I just made a bunch of World Eaters players happy and now more people in general will buy Khorne Berzerkers and Rhino kits. Expect my application in the mail, GW.

better yet, introduce a new "assault rhino" open topped rhino kit. bezekerers are more useful and now we all have to buy the new rhino. THAT is GW for ya

Roll 6 on damage chart with Lascannon, watch it go up in smoke?

Or maybe a ork style truck....basic, make it fast, less armour but fast assult transport designed solely to carry troops and nothing else, hevey frontal armour plating and thinner side + rear so it can charge a line ahead on the brserker way.
