Chaos can't use telekinesis. Biomancy or telepathy are pretty much whats left.

If you use Crimson Slaughter, you could make a nice Divination or Daemonology sorcerer.

Oh I read telepathy as telekinesis then what would be the best discipline to use

I like Telepathy myself.

I will proably go with telepathy because it seems like a good choice the primeras power looks good and I like how they can save routed units or make your units better in certain ways

Telepathy is almost certainly your best bet for a discipline. Psychic Shriek isn't terrible at all for a primaris power, and you can get the all important Invisiblity for anything assaulty. Mental Fortitude helps you out if you're running non-cult troops, Shrouding helps out in general and esp. if you have bikes, or spawn to a lesser extent. Biomancy isn't bad, but it's mostly self-buffs for the sorcerer. You really want to have MC stats in the first place to get max benefits from Bio, but if you really want your sorcerer cutting it up in CC, Biomancy's what you should go for. Even though Pyromancy was kinda-sorta buffed, do not go for it. If you're running Red ---I mean Crimson Slaughter, Divination's not bad at all, even with the nerfs to prescience, but at the low points values that you're going into, Divination may not have a big enough effect.

In short, run Telepathy. Use a Lvl3 Sorcerer, give him a Spell Familiar and Sigil of Corruption, put him on a bike if you have the model. Cast invisibility/Shrouding on anything that could use the protection, cast psychic shriek at things with good armor/cover saves. Laugh maniacally as you get your powers off without WC batteries while everyone else struggles.

I know this is not the topic of the thread but should I put him in a unit and what should it be

I always like having a unit to hide my psyker in. Preferrably one that can hold its own in cc or be fearless so he doesn't get swept. I'd definitely go with Telep. With Bio you have to be prepared to use him as a cc dude if you get the self buff powers. A biker sorc with bikers, or a foot sorc with some plague/noise marines are always solid options.

I'm thinking of running two psykers. One on bike to run with my nurgle bikes, and the other in terminator armor or Jump Pack to go in with my Raptors or Oblits. Think both are going to be unmarked. Roll on Telepathy for bikes and roll on Bio for Raptors. See how it goes.

I like telepathy.

Santic daemonolgy is also tempting. Just throw lots of single dice with a re-roll at the warp charge 1 powers.

I've been running my unmarked Sorc in Terminator Armour, ML 3 and with the Balestar of Mannon (Divination + re-rolls artefact). All 3 spells + Primaris from Divination. He's been performing really well so far, so I've just bought and assembled a team of 3 MoN Oblits to act as his retinue. There's this spell that grants Ignores Cover to the Psyker and his unit, so imagine all the destruction...

Biker sorc with Spawn to buff them, and they buff him with Fearless. Maybe with bikers if you roll Fortitude. I don't have faith in anything that's not fearless but that's just me.

Hmmm, I'm going to jump in on this thread and ask a question, its related to the csm sorcerer.

I'm running demons primary, with csm allies. I've been using a telepathy sorcerer in a cultist blob, because I'm running a heldrake in the fa slot, would i be better of dropping the drake and going bikes or spawn instead?

my demons primary is made up of be'lakor heralds ok khorne a fleshhound pack, and soulgrinders, so y'all have an idea of what
I'm working with.

I hope this isn't considered thread jacking.

I'm always going to recommend against a sorc in a cultist blob. It's just asking to get swept and it sucks when it happens. At least with bikes or spawn you might give as good as you get so you're not taking Ld tests at like -7.

Here's a novel idea: Sorc on a bike with Telepathy attached to a Flesh Hound pack. Lots of ablative wounds, chance to get Invis Flesh Hounds, just as fast too.

Not allowed, CSM and daemons aren't real battle brothers.

CSM and Chaos Daemons are Battle Brothers still.
They are their only battle brothers.

They're still battle brothers.

But Daemonic Instability hinders every non-daemon-IC from joining.

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

They can still be brought as allies, just can't have a non daemon instability unit join a instability one. Don't have to join units to be an ally.

ok , lets assume we know how the units from CSM and DoC interact.

is it worth dropping a baledrake for a sorcerer on bike with a unit of nurgle spawn?

Yes, but sorc + nurgle spawn cost much more than a heldrake.

Well the sorc is already his list, you can easily spend less than 170 points on Spawn or Bikers.

I've been running with 5 Nurgle Bikers with two meltas.

Downside is there are far less ablative wounds in the pool and they aren't fearless. (I add a Lord for that though...CSM primary)

The bikes can turbo boost though, can shoot, hit with hammer of wrath, have a 3+ armour and can jink

Its a hard choice for sure

Divination sorcerers with obliterators are fun. Ignore cover every gun ever, or better invulnerable saves, or twin link the heavier guns that aren't usually twin linked, etc. Telepathy sorcerers in plague zombie squads (those are unmarked and fearless, if memory serves - but requires typhus). Bike sorcerers with spawn or other bikers.

They are my bulwark against the Terror. They are the Defenders of Humanity. They are my Space Marines, and they shall know no fear.
