im building a squad of eldar war walkers and im torn between 3 builds, dual scatter, dual star, and scatter/star

anyone have personal favorights here?

12 + 12 TL str 6 shots with rending will kill or cripple just about anything.


Granted 6 bright lances is also a dead vehicle, but is much less effective againgst infantry hordes and costs more points.

Scatter/Scatter Performs better against fliers, light vehicles, and hordes
Star/Star is best at hitting TEQ and MEQ in the open.

I've always admired Bright Lance/ Scatter. Double scatter is a good one as well.

Well, dual scatterlasers is the best allround choice. Lots of dakka against infantry and light tanks.
I'd stay way from single shoot weapons. The more dice the better.
Bright lances are an inferior choice. There are better solutions vs heavy tanks. Hello Fire Dragons.

I'm sorry I just don't know why anyone would NOT have a seer that could GUIDE..
Besides that there have been a few threads back in 6th ed, that did the maths and Scatted/Star just wasn't as great at the proponents claimed

You are wrong, do the math.

A unit of 3 War walkers with Scatter/Star will produce 4.44 unsaved wounds on MEQ in 4+ cover. Same unit with Scatter/Scatter also produces 4.44 wounds. Guide both of those units and Scatter/Scatter only wins out by 0.74 wounds. However, in 5+ cover or worse, Scatter/Star outperforms dual Scatter/Scatter regardless of Guide.
