Sure, maybe not a "world beater"...but dude, Tyranids.

You'll likely only have use for one Tervigon, and you'll almost certainly want to buy a Venothrope or two, but sure.

I don't know how things are "built", so this is an example list only...

HQ: Winged Tyrant , budget: 240 ? (a "Winged Dakka'rant, with Thorax Hive)

Elite: Zoey Brood: x2 100
Elite: Zoey, solo 50

Troops: Warrior Brood: x3, Cannon 100+?
Troops: Termigants, x30 120
Troops: Tervigon, Thorax Hive 205
Troops: Hormigaunts, x15, Toxic 120
Troops: Genestealers, x 7, Broodlord 158 (Very sub-optimal, but a "fun" choice)

Heavy: Carnifex: ? budget: 150 (a "Dakkafex") Here is where you are a little short, Nids tend to shine in the heavy slots...

THat should get you close to 1250, with room to adjust as needed. After you get a game or four in, you'll know where to spend future dollars.

Good luck, and welcome to the Hive Mind!

Late entry: If you want, you can take a second Tervigon, Thorax Hive (205) as a HQ. That will put you close to 1500. (a Venothrope should get you the rest of the way. )

Oh yeah, I just rememberd, I also got 1 extra Hormagaunt that I have painted and forgot in my painting box together with 5 Termagant test models, And I got a unopend box of 12 Termagants. So 20 Hormagaunts and 82 Termagants total. And I'l probably try to sell one of the Tervigons to another guy at the club thats starting Tyranids too ^_^

You need more synapse but that list of models looks awesome, congrats on a good score.

Oh definitely dude. It won't win tournaments, if only because you have too few synapse but you can still devour plenty with this. :-)

Thanks! I have a match with them tomorrow against a friend so I can try them out ^_^

Lets see.. A Dakka tyrant.. Thats Twin-linked Devouerers with brainleech worms right? Is it one, Or can you take two? And Thorax Hive.. Is that just aThorax Biomorph? Or a specific one? My main goal is to have fun (To have good close battles where lots of stuff dies on both sides) so super competetive stuff I dont care about. ^_^

pinecone77's list with the extra Tervigon for synapse actually looks pretty tough.

Yeah you can take two!

You put two sets of devourers on a hive tyrant or carnifex, to give you a total of 12 shots.

The thorax hive usually taken is Electroshock Grubs, to get a haywire attack. You can't fire it at the same time as both sets of devourers, but there are occasions where it's useful. Tyranids have some difficulties with anti-vehicle at the moment (more than normal anyway), so having a haywire template weapon helps.

Hmm.. Is it possible to build a good Tyranid list, Using mostly big stuff? (I'm not saying super competetive, But a fun list that dosent guarantee a loss) Such as Warriors Hive/Tyrant Guard and bigger stuff?

Yeah, nidzilla still makes fun lists.
I play mostly 'zilla, although I'm starting to introduce a few more gaunts in my lists since 7th edition.

I'd be cautious of warriors though. They have several problems. The main one being that just about every type of gun is effective against them.
If someone fires a lascannon at a gaunt, then you laugh and remove your single model. If someone fires some bolters at a carnifex then once again they do very little damage and you don't care.

However both the bolters and the lascannons can do serious damage to warriors. The bolters chew through their wounds due to the low toughness and middling armour save. The high strength weapons inflict instant death and remove multi-wound models.

They do have their uses, mainly as a cheap min-sized squad for your back-field synapse. But I wouldn't recommend building a list that really relies on them.

Yeah...Tyrant, Wings, TL: Brain Leeches x2, Thorax Hive (Electro-bugs, or Shreder Beetles) 240. 12 s6 shots at BS4 and a haywire template when needed.

Alright! So, I have been pondering what to buy for my Tyranids and, I think I want another unit of Warriors, A unit of Hive Guard since they seem nice, Some Lictors, Venomthropes, More Raveners (Maybe a full unit) A Harpy or Hive Crone, Another Carnifex or two, A Exocrine, and a unit of Biovores.. What are peoples opinions of these units? Should I get the Harpy or the Hive Crone?

Lictors and Raveners are awesome models but don't really hold up well on the tabletop.
The rest are solid choices, I would recommend magnetising the Hive Crone/Harpy, but if you're buying secondhand go to q Crone.

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

I kind of want a melee heavy army, with some shooting. And both Raveners and Lictors seem to be good at punching things in the face. Plus the awesome models.. XD Most of my group play just for fun, Aiming for close matches where both players had fun (Instead of totaly crushing the enemy by turn 2 like some people aim for.. Thats not fun for anyone..) So yeah, Less then competetive things work well too, Aslong as they arent ultra bad.

In the sort of meta you're describing Raveners could definitely be a fun unit.
I'd still recommend staying away from Lictors, they're not the worst unit in the entire Codex but they're close.

Okies. Hmm.. I'm thinking of getting a Haruspex too as they seem like they coud be fun in a friendly melee heavy army, Splashing acid and nomming people ^_^

Hmm... Maybe some Tyrant Guard too for my Hive Tyrant running on foot..

Hmm...Hive Guard? a good unit, but it competes with Zoey for slot space, and costs more...for me, Zoey wins. And you'll want a Veno, and that goes in the same slot(s).
Lictors? a good unit, but very hard to use, and it competes for the same "Elite" slots as above. maybe if you run 2x CAD..?
Venomthrope(s) so good you'll always want one, it competes with Zoey, so it's hard to add more...
Raveners? a fun unit, but costly, and it needs to be fairly large to function, so even more costly...
Harpy, a good solid purchase, but Crones are better...
Crone, a very solid choice for adding airpower.
Carnifexen? There is always room for Carnifexen. The current fav build is Dakkafexen (TL: Brain Leeches x2)
Exocrene? Biovores? Not my fav, but if you grab an Exocrene, 3 Biovores, and a Warrior Brood, with a Venom Cannon, you have a "Living Artillery" Formation. And that is a very solid base for a army. (runs about 400 all told)

Oh oh oh! The Shrikes! (Is that right? Too lasy to dig the codex out of my bag to check, The Warriors with wings!) Are they good? A friend who I bought my nids from sugested I get a group of those aimed at close combat, Since I wanna do melee heavy nids.

Hmm... there greater internet opinion is - they are too expensive and hardly worth using. I find myself agreeing; as regular Warriors really just need to keep running behind the hoard and live long enough to allow for some delivered pain.

Shrikes are basically better Raveners, they're not amazing but in a non-competitive meta they won't be weighing you down.

Shrikes are much more effective melee threat than Warriors.

The wings are also great for grabbing objectives... but they do have a worse armour-save than warriors for some reason. Personally I think winged/jump-type units are pretty good in this edition. Dangerous/difficult terrain used to be much worse and Hammer of Wrath and rerolls are nice too. Yeah I dunno...
