Seriously. The armor and the reality t.v. implants are just stupid. When I think elves I think lithe, nimble and perhaps slightly androgynous...not stripper with a plastic surgeon benefactor.

You should have led with one of the other pictures. They are a lot better:

Yea, I loved the other Norseguard stuff, but those elves, while nice looking in some ways, don't say "ice" to me. Are they made of ice perhaps?

Also, what material are you using for manufacturing?

NM, I see the IGG pages specifies pewter.

Even if these are a mile better than the horrible AoW sculpts, these don't strike me like "Ice", better Witch Elf alternatives I think. After all you're calling them Blood Elves in your Campaign.
But at this price tag it's like getting the GW ones at the same price. I'll agree the rest of the pics are more appealing, anywayz, seriously now, good luck and hope all goes well with your campaign!

US$12 shipping for two 28mm sculpts to Europe?

IGG?

Sorry, there's actually a couple of minis I'd like, but those two factors are dealbreakers in themselves, let alone together.

Thanks for all comments. All miniatures will casted in metal. I think that some of you know products from Maxmini. So, if you are satisfied with their product quality than you can expect the same quality here. Maxmini is responsible for casting miniatures. That is why I can assure you that you will get really nice miniatures.

Speaking about elves. In Norsgard they are not nice. In fact they are already dead. So, low temperature is not a problem for them .

By the way more orcs will be available during campaign. They are the guardians of Norsgard and they need some new units when elves will arrive.

Ahh, good to know regarding the elves. You may want to write up a bit of the fluff etc around that, as some good fluff explanation would go far to develop interest.

As an aesthetic note, you might consider making their hand weapons smaller. As it stands they are pretty huge it seems.

Here I thought the elves were pulling the old Iceland/Greenland switch and calling themselves ice elves meant they were from the meadows and greenlands.

Fluff will be in one of the first updates.

Sadly, weapons will not be smaller. Miniature is more or less 33mm. We already printed and casted first two Blood Witches. Smaller and thinner weapons will be... to thin and fragile. This is typical problem with digital sculpts.

What is the problem with IGG? Isn't it a very established and the second largest crowdfunding platform with project attracting millions for their projects already?

Anyway, I like the elves, they look awesome, and could work very well for some WH proxies for those that would rather enjoy that. They are for sure on the same level as GW, AoW and RH. Good stuff!

I think I wasn't clear: I was thinking "armed with daggers instead of machetes" not just more slender swords. Just that the size of the weapons they are swinging around one handed makes sort of a visual dissonance with the idea of them being lithe and quick. It is a very common issue with small scale models of course, but perhaps it could be avoided more.

Also, just noticed now, but the standard bearer's wrist on the arm that holds the flag is painful to see. I literally am getting sympathy pains after trying it out with a spear shaft here. I think you want less of a right angle on the wrist and more of the angle made up by the fingers, the index and middle fingers being more extended than the others.

They appear to be wearing stockings with no shoes...

Poses are stiff and lifeless (and the standard bearer has a broken wrist), and they all appear to have the same head.

And Elves should never look like they have breast implants. They should be slender and willowy... and giant boobs don't go with slender and willowy.

The design is nice enough, if somewhat generic for what we've all come to expect from 'nasty' elves these days, but they're not doing it for me overall, sorry.

IGG takes payment right away, and, while I haven't checked this particular project, offers an option for the project to retain all funds, regardless of the success of the funding. Neither thing I endorse, so I don't put money into IGG projects because IGG get a cut.

I believe those are simply Boots of Elven Promiscuity. They grant you a bonus to your armored bra saves.

No offense, but you really picked the worst of your images to lead off this thread with. For example, given that the elves are not so much Ice as Undead, this picture,

is loaded with character and nicely establishes exactly what you are going for.

And this Stretch Goal is damn fine;

Edit: holy crap, $16 to ship anything to the US? Uh.... okay.

Also, given the statement that there are some prints (and I see there is an existing line) some scale comparison shots would be good.

What do you mean with IGG takes payment right away? This is a fixed funding, not flexible, and the campaign will only receive the fund if the goal is reached by deadline.

The money is taken from the customer immediately and held until the campaign finishes. Kickstarter, by contrast, doesn't actually take the money from the customer until the end.

This.

Plus, why does it matter to you if I have a problem with IGG?

Perhaps it bit me when I was a child.

Not that I'm a white-knight for realistic miniatures of women or anything, but I just can't imagine where I would use these and not have them look ridiculously juvenile next to whatever I was playing with already.

ESPECIALLY when the majority of shoppers/backers will use them as either Witch Elf or War Dancer stand ins, regardless of how wonderful your own system is.

And at 33mm, it would be like I decided to field a unit of 7ft tall porn-star octuplets with 5++ implant saves onto the field of battle.

Yeah, I love me some NSFW miniatures, but if these are ment to be undead then you've fell well short of tbe line. If you made some proper undead Elves I'm sure I would be all over this (depending on price of course, which I see from the other posts may be out of my price range).

If "undead" are one of your core definitions, these do not show it at all. Same goes for cold- no furs, no cold weather gear. I had to read the description in order to get that information.

Also, these are just reposes of the same model- there's no physical differences between any of the figures, especially in the faces.

IGG = no way in heck.

IGG uses Paypal, not Credit Cards (like Kickstarter, or most Hotel-chains, etc..).

Paypal doesn't have a "reserve" money options like Credit Cards do.

If you "reserve" a pledge with a Credit Card, you only get truly billed at a future point (when the Kickstarter-campaign ends, when you check out of the Hotel), with the "add-ons" (Kickstarter-options, mini-bar) added at the end.

Paypal doesn't offer that feature. They will deduct the money from your paypal account the second you pledge (or pay something) and hold it in escrow, until either the project funds or fails to do so (and you get the money back).

Funny enough, it is also among the most common complaints about Kickstarter, that they don't take Paypal. Yet it is a quirk of Paypal's policy that gives IGG a bad rep (which they can't change, cause it's Paypal's doing, not IGG's)

Then why are they wearing anything at all? Or are those just their burial bikinis?

Not really a fan of the look, besides the typically they are female so they must be wearing almost nothing part it does not feel like anything about their look says these are ice elves.
