Well, they have power armor, boltguns and Rhino chassis vehicles. It's an easy mistake to make for a newbie on first glance.

The worst part is making a lot of RP rolls, and seeing your opponent get frustrated.

I've had 7 out of 9 stand up before, and watching all of that damage that did nothing can upset a lot of people.

Yup, I sometimes even feel guilty about it seeing the look of dissappointment and frustration wash over my opponents face.

Mordian Iron Guard: they are all metal

Valhallan Imperial Guard here, with a squad of Mordians, a squad of Praetorians, and a squad of Steel Legion. And working on buying a squad of Squats. Same problem, but I always feel like I'm holding something with a metal fig, and constantly drop the plastic figs because they feel too light, and I grip them much less tightly so I don't break them. Not that I'm ham-fisted bearing down on the metal models, just a lighter grip on the plastic for some strange reason. I don't even notice it until I drop it.

My beef though, is the painting. I just finished a squad of men, in my new, updated scheme, with better painting skills behind it, after a long hiatus (10 years) and now I need to do the other 50 models to get my army to a playable state. Not counting the tanks I want to airbrush. (Note to self: buy airbrush someday.)

Yep. In my latest battle report I killed necron units of 20 down to one or 3 models at least 3 times, and the consistently got half or more back. A squad of 20 got reduced to 3 models, only 6 failed their reanimation. Really tough when you have no big guns and so on. But then I realized if he didnt get those animation rolls I would have killed him off pretty quick so its not too bad I guess. Just a pain

I now have an image in my head of space marines with nut allergies going into anaphylactic shock as people throw peanuts at them

Do I wish Terminators would get better or cheaper. I play GK but I feel your pain and Terminators are part of my favorite unit list.

That's probably my favorite part about Necrons.

Getting swept in melee or failing a Ld test at the worst moment might be my least favorite part.

Do you at least use the blood to make realistic blood effects on the army's blades?

Under normal circumstances I use it to ferry oxygen around my body.

My big one is my orks. The reason? A massive amount of bodies and vehicles to paint. And since they are bad moons, painting yellow is more of a pain.

I hate how immobile my CSM feel on the board. I never feel like I can effectively and consistently engage units in my opponent's backfield, especially in the late game.

The worst part about 40k is that my models don't hug me back.

Worst thing about playing my army...

Nids - I can no longer drop a 90 point model behind enemy lines who then promptly takes out half the opposing army. By himself.

I miss the Doom...

Eldar - lack of Assault vehicles. Though I guess if I want to invest in some DEldar allies to give my girls a way to assault from a vehicle I could...

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

People don't like pure Crisis? It's not that strong. In fact it's pretty squishy as no shots against Crisis teams are really wasted.

Anti-Tank shots ID them so the shot is still worthwhile (as opposed to having lots of lascannons and coming up against Green Tide, for example) and if you shoot them with anti-infantry weapons they die just as easily as an equivalent amount of space marines.

Basically it all comes down to moving effectively to limit the positions that the suits can jump back to safely. Anti-guerrilla tactics, surround them to remove their ability to evade your fire via terrain or by outranging you, then annihilate them.

That is why I say screw it and don't even try. I just wash them to get shadow effects and leave it be but that is when my patience is running thin.
