Ugh... My Destructeks miss more than they hit and my Overlords average 1 hit per shooting phase with their 3 shot staff of light...
My luck with Tesla more than makes up for it though.

On a related note, I loathe trying to glue the guns onto a lot of models.
Having to hold 2 separate arms and the model itself isn't a good start, but the worst thing is when I'm trying to work out what bizarre pose the model is supposed to be in that will allow the arms to actually join together.

Thats the nice thing about the guard. I dont know of any lists that are unfluffy. Maybe an psyker army but thats thankfully impossible outside of unbound.
Not Mech Guard, but specially mechanized veterans, its a pet peeve that it eclipses the platoon as the best choice. It disappoints me to see someone's army and there are minimal veterans in chimeras with allies. Back in 4th ed I ran a proper Mech Guard army, looked nothing like the nonsense you see on the table now. But that is a reflection of the game, not the background.
Again, such formations exist in the Imperial Guard and aren't particularly rare. You can imagine them being either elite troopers, hardened survivors at the end of the campaign or the Veteran core that a lot of guard regiments have. The Imperial Guard isn't all about huge blobs of infantry as some would have you believe.

Any army: I'm stuck playing alone and too shy to play at an FLGS
I'm using a program called Turing to make a second player though so if that works, I shouldn't have too many problems.
Tyranids: Though fun to play, (at least in my opinion) when they break, they're a PAIN to put back together. Anyone else had to repair a Zoanthrope or Hormagaunt foot?

Chaos Daemons.
Perils of the Warp/Daemonic Instability. One or the other would be fine, but since the excuse for Perils of the Warp is that it's just more Daemonic Instability, that makes it redundant. One of them should go, and since Daemonic Instability seems to do its job so well it should be Perils. Daemons should not peril. Automatically Appended Next Post:

Ok, time to complain a bit, the fact my crisis suits seem to have acquired a burden of uselessness at some point. My battle plan goes fine as long as I don't depend on them for anything and just use them as a distraction to draw fire. You'd think 2 melta shots from inside 2d6 range would do something to the side armor of a razorback...

Could be a thing. I'm just kind of annoyed because I honestly can not remember the last time my crisis suits in general have actually done anything useful. Special note for the absolute ridiculousness of how badly the dice seem to hate my deep striking dual melta suits when they go after tanks. The game before that, out of about 8 melta shots, I got 1 hull point from a glancing hit.

I play Valhallans, conscripts don't live long enough to become Veterans. Hell, they're lucky to get a real lasgun. lol
I understand you can explain veteran armies in the fluff, but I disagree they should be as common as they are on the tabletop. If you want to continue lets PM.
