Thanks all for the feedback, it's highly appreciated.

Got some interesting news from our lawyer today concerning the "nude" versions according to local laws!
We will have final confirmation from the firm by Monday and update everyone interested on the matter...

I am really curious what your lawyer said and what kind of "issues" some nude plastic models may rise

I'd imagine there are some countries were nude minis would be illegal,

and a lot more where what they could show on the box would be tricky,

I doubt they'd be big markets, but depending on what's in (and on) the box Shieldwolf would be limiting their markets

I really don't see any country that would have laws against "nude" miniatures. I too would be interested to hear what kind of "issues" nude plastic miniatures would lead to.

Received a small order I placed today and was surprised that the quality was better than looked on the pictures. Makes me look forward to my pledge being received. On the shieldmaidens, I would take chainmail or unarmored, but would not buy revealing. (not that I am prude but only buy nude models where they make sense to me, i.e. a nymph, succubus, harlot, ect..). Plate mail armor would not interest me since I don't see barbarians as having platemail.

Hey, what's up? :-D
We have plenty of stuff to show and tell you, so let's get started!
Work In Progress (WiP)

We start off with the ladies of the North due to popular demand and messages we receive! We are very happy to announce that the 2-headed Dragon is even more beautiful than we had initially hoped for, and that's because the 28mm scale has been already printed and in our hands!

This is a very rough assembly (without any glue, just fitting the printed parts/masters together) it's already in our laboratory in line for his (hers?) moulds :-)

A lady has also shown up, I'm pretty sure many of you remember her, it's still WiP as you can see but the sculptor has promised to have it finished before the end of next month (May), so we are very much looking forward to receiving this lovely miniature.

This beast of the greenskins is evolving very nicely and we are very proud of what we believe a stunning miniature both in concept and execution. The flying creature might have broken something it was... playing with!
Do you wish to tell it to behave? :-)

We have assigned a number of miniatures to Davide Tedeschi in order to have a complete army by the end of the year, so some additional work was put to secure coeherance of the miniatures. All the skeletons have been done however and we expect the details to make these "gentlemen" shine. In their own way I mean :-)
By the end of next month, the Firebreathers Unit will have been completed, along with the characters funded in this Campaign.

What we consider the most detailed lions ever sculpted in this scale, we have almost finished with them (by the end of next week all details will have been put) and we commence sculpting the riders and Command bits we promised.

We just love the hair and amazing detail Paolo is putting into this, we can't wait to get these in our hands and start painting them! We hope you like them as much as we do.
Minor Issues
We have had 3 issues we have dealt with or are still resolving.

1. We messed up and overlooked two parcels that should have been sent in the Early Wave, instead we had kept their stuff on the "regular" list. Both parcels have now been sent however (one to the UK and another to the USA), we are pretty sure that by the end of next week both backers will have received their early rewards.
2. 54mm scale is proving a tad more difficult due to it's size, in theory it's easily manufactured -since it is in 3D and we should be able to get any size we ask for-, but apparently it's more complicated than that. We are trying to solve this and have already made contact with another two 3D printing companies (one domestic and one abroad) in order to print this without losing any detail. If for any reason we find that the result is not the one we promised to deliver, we will contact you to either switch your reward selection or refund you -fees included. We are optimistic we will find a solution, we have two guys from our Team working on this issue.
3. The poll we had set up for the Shieldmaiden version -and we thank everyone for casting their vote- seems to have been tamprered with. The results till 18th of April showed a clear lead of the chainmail version (47%) compared to the other three (nude and plate version had around 17-21%, while unarmored was around 15% ).
For those who have followed it -or seen our perplessity posted over at Dakka and Reaper forums- a very strange turn over came some 4 days later, where the nude (revealing) version took a surprising lead 38% compared to a 37% of the chainmail version!
Thanks to the Community's contribution *thumbs up* there seems to be an easy way to tamper with the results, therefore casting multiple votes from the same computer and rig the final outcome :-(
We cannot comprehend why on earth a person would do that, thing is we were totally unconvinced the results as they stand now were true.

The answer came from our Law firm, when Dimitrios Spyropoulos (the lawyer assigned to us) warned us that our licence is for "Toys, reccomended ages 12+" therefore producing miniatures with nudity (let alone showing painted pictures of those on the box covers) would easily cause us issues, the firm would not be liable for.
These 2 factors have resulted in taking this final decision:
First kit will be Chainmail version.
Second kit will be Unarmored (non-revealing) version.
The sculptor has already been contacted and we are discussing how to proceed with the 3ups. Some of you may not like this verdict, but we had stated that a decision will be taken by the end of the month, and in Greece it's currently 22.58', so just another hour before we greet May :-)
We hope you will still like what we are preparing for KS2, we will keep you updated.

Thanks for reading, as always any comments/questions/suggestions are more than welcome!
(Next update to be expected by the end of May)

Received my early wave shipment from this KS today! Very, very pleased with the minis; they are really nicely cast, the resin is crisp and looks to be basically free of mould lines (I got a bunch of orcs, the four Djinn, and the Ancient Guardians). And the plastic orcs were a very good deal, they look pretty awesome too. Now I'm looking forward to those ogres!

From the dragon pics it looks like it has no scales.

Love the lions they are coming along wonderfully

Indeed no scales, it would ruin the concept, their skin has been textured however so it would be easy to imagine it thick and hard to pierce.
We claim no innovation there, hehehe, there's others having done that before us :-)

As for the lions thanks, we are just finishing their Command bits, here's a glimpse of the banner.
Next update (due end of the month) should have all 4 of them complete, mailed to us to make their molds and put them in production line.
We also need to mail a couple to the winners of a couple of raffles we did during the campaign. We plan to do the same again for KS-2.

That cast mammoth head is look fantastic!!

The head isn't the only thing that you will like on this model :-)
Whatsmore, we took additional care to make assembly easy, the only issue we weren't able to resolve -although we were on it for more than a week!- is making the body hollow without compromising the detail. Therefore to our dissapointment the main part will come integral -i.e. single piece.

This is the belly of the great northern beast, we have promised detailed pics to our backers on the next update...

Just dropping some Siberias Lion riders shots... :-)
It has taken us many months, from initial concept till realization, still have work to do in order to deliver these and make them available via retail.

And for the Orcs what we consider the best Wyvern in 28mm scale!
It is almost complete! :-)

We have been doing some hard work and laying low... but now we are almost ready to release our draft 1.a and we need some assistance, so even if we have already gathered a number of volunteers to test it out, we can never say no to some more! :-)
If you're interested, shoot us an email! :-)

OK, it's 05:11 a.m. here, we finally emailed the last of our playtesters!
Playtesting group is now officially closed and we are waiting for the precious feedback in order to move things forward by Autumn this year.

Thank you all for your support, it means a lot (going to bed now)

Hi all!
Yet another beautiful miniature has been completed and currently flying over the Adriatic Sea set for our HQ, while preparations for our next KS are moving on regardless of current events that trouble our everyday life.
Anywayz, thought I'd share it here :-)

So, behold the Valley Orc Shaman

here is a more detailed view

and it can be seen/used semi-nude

or with a cape for stylish purposes!

We deliberately avoided added bunch of stuff on the cape in order to make it different from our Mountain Orc Shaman model and also allow freehands to those who are up to it!
Next update here on Dakka will have to do with the game and the plastics.
Cheers!

Oh, never realized that they're from Greece.
Wish you and everyone al the best and I must apologize for "my" amazingly bad finance minister ;(

We have our hands full atm and everything flowing perfectly :-) ... then this happens :-/

Not only it has stalled completing our KS-1 (although we still believe we will definitely deliver earlier than promised, simply not super-fast as we had foreseen and had been going), the timing is absolutely horrible also in occasion to the augmented enthusiasm due to the long-awaited launch of playtesting our game :-(

@Mymearan
Thanks mate :-)
@RoninXiC
There are no hard feelings against the German finance minister, at least not from my side. I'm a person who first points his finger to himself, then to others. And in my humble opinion Greeks have plenty of self-pointing to do.
What I do believe however is that a true "United Europe" aka European Union, has gone one step backward. Maybe even two... :-/
Anyway, I've said mine at the Off-Topic thread, I believe some people there have made some very fine points too.

Love the look of that orc shaman. While the pose looks a bit awkward for a game, it looks great as an individual miniature. Some of the muscles look a bit wierd, though, especially around the ribcage. But great work, nonetheless.

Absolutely kicking myself for not ordering one or two of those mammoths!! Is there a way I could pledge for them now?

They look fantastic so far!
Oh well least I've got 20+ ogres and some Arave charachters to look forward to.

Keep up the fantastic work. I can't wait to get my mits on these miniatures.

Regards,
Howie.

After I get settled into my new place, I will be putting together an order. I wasn't sure about you guys when all we had to look at were the freaky looking orcs (they've grown on me too) but the genies, ancient ones, crazy wolf things, and a lot more of your figures are really interesting and not badly priced at all. One thing I am curious about. I want to have some Games Workshop Space Marines riding some of those lions for counts as.. space wolf dudes on wolves (?) Do you happen to know if any of the different Space Marine legs out there will fit?

EDIT: I just read the update on your kickstarter.. WOW.. you guys are in a really tough spot. Best wishes. It's great that you are keeping open communications during the crisis, a lot of other projects choose to go quiet instead.

Thanks Howie, it's great when people openly encourage us and I'm more than sure you'll be pleased when they arrive to you.
It's imperative for us to do a good job. We love what we are doing and we mean to grow both faster and a lot. A whole lot more.
We are in open communications for "War is Coming" also -which is very time and effort consuming-, to our surprise some sites have failed to understand(?) that there is a also a game behind this, one we have announced and been working on for years. Hopefully they will acknowledge this and inform their readers. It's free. It's for everyone. It will be supported for many years to come. And -apart the help from the playetsters who are ALL volunteers- it has been financed completely by us.

No. You will not. You will wait for our KS-2 where you will see some stupendous value-for-money. The boxed set game alone is something like 90+ minis for 100$. Hard plastic and resin. Plus access to free stretch goals and 'enhanced' PDF rules. Just sayin'... ;-)

I'll have to check on that and get back to you.

Thank you but that is not our modus operandi; quite the opposite, it is in abnormal times that communication must be not only supported but enhanced. That includes also what is not visible, i.e. all emails and pm's in both our FB and KS pages.
