Do you mean this picture?
Unfortunately, I think this is probably the least useful size comparison pic possible! This is because:
1. There is no ruler
2. The manufacturer of the other miniature is not listed
3. The model chosen is in a pose where it is standing up on a skull / rock, rather than standing flat!
Addressing one or two of those things would have made it much easier to compare to (you don't necessarily need to address all 3).
Other than that, I think things look very good - and that is a fantastic conversion suggestion, Ian Sturrock

@RiTides
There are 'reasons' of how the comparison picture could be posted.
Granted, no ruler, but the project aims at wargamers who have handled good quality plastics, so this should be a very clear rappresentation of what it's going to be like.

Appreciate the support, welcome aboard!

Thank you, for us it's important to replicate the KS-1 experience, people liked it and therefore so do we! :-)

Seems to be this one:

Though I agree that a ruler/measurement of the (projected) final model would be useful for people to determine scale.

Thanks for that, Azazelx! If someone has that model, they could measure it for us but by far the easiest solution would be to post a picture of a model with either a known height, our give a height measurement. With how this one is standing both on its toes and on a skull, it's difficult to compare to.

The large wolves the two factions use are different sculpts, right? Any chance of having shieldmaidens riding giant wolves?

Yes, they are different sculpts, the Ice Wolves are more furry and have chains, the Great Wolves are skinnier and have leather/wood armor with ropes.
We have asked Italian painter who is in possession of the minis to provide some more pics so backers can have better visual.
Chances of Shieldmaidens riding wolves is not in our current plans. We think Yeti and Bear riders suffice for now although we will make their riders available as a separate add-on...

Shieldwolf, are the rewards shipped from within the US?
My Mantic KoW order had a customs fee when shipped directly from the EU, so I'm curious if you're using a shipping hub here or not.

Interesting. I like the Shield Maidens so far. I'll wait to see what else pops up. Long lead time does temper me a bit because I might love it now and by the time it comes in the project I'd be excited for them for is gone.

That's a negative, rewards are not shipped via a US hub but neither are any additional custom fees charged.

Did they send it via UPS or FedEx or something like that to cause your customs charges?

From my experience from buying from the US to UK, it seems if a parcel has tracking and needs to be signed for i normally get charged import fees and custom charges, if it does not need signing for i normally dont have to pay any extra

I believe that is just a coincidence of what packages get picked up by the customs. What would make a difference is if SWM would tag the package with a low value so that it gets below the point of where it would demand a normal additional tax/fee/vat.

Most of my untracked parcels are over the taxable value and get through with no extra costs, like you say its pretty can be a bit random for those ones, but ALL my tracked parcels over the taxable value get stung by customs, Ive brought quite a bit from the US through KS in the last year, over 195 backed KS projects!

I'm in again, the last round of miniatures where fantastic. Truly can't say enough how in awe I was with my ogres and freebies.
By the looks of things I'll need to learn how to paint flesh well in the next year.
@shield wolf, sorry I couldn't do the proofing I said I'd do. Work hammered me over December and I lost any and all motivation to do anything.
Best of luck with it all! Can't wait for the final product.
Ps, that yak made me laugh. Cute little unit filler.

This is looking good but I'm a little disappointed. I mentioned buying some things from the store a while back and you advised me to wait for the KS campaign.. and.. none of the stuff you suggested I wait on is in the campaign. I can't remember everything but I know at the least I had mentioned genies/elementals and ancient ones. If they're not planned that's okay, I can buy from the store I just don't understand why you told me to wait :/

That's because during the mid-campaign slump we will probably be adding some stuff from the webstore (at a discounted price) to pick up momentum, that's why I had told you that.
We are saving several aces up our sleeve (or so we think at least *smiles to himself*) to make sure this doesn't stall. And if it does stall, at least not a lot :-)

Oh, that makes sense. I'm only really doing skirmish gaming for fantasy these days so I really wouldn't need more than a single box of the ladies and a few wolves maybe.. plus existing products of course. I've got a reminder set and will keep an eye out
