Subject: Dungeon Saga: What're you guys and girls pledging for?
Just a $1 so far. The alpha rules released felt really mechanical when I tried it with my kids (11 & 13). And to me the stats and combat rules don't seem to be able to scale well when finding new gear or get new levels. They have released no info on how this will work. Example, to hit you have to roll over the enemies armor value on a D6. So this essentially caps the armor stats to 5. The basic dwarf already has a armor of 4. So what happens when I find the cool shield and awesome armor? Add some defensive skills to that? Also you roll off vs your opponent when you attack, like deadzone. Dwarf already has 5 dice, I can see him having 8 or 9 at upper levels. Rolling that many every time i attack and having to compare each dice to what my opponent rolled will be way to cumbersome for me and my kids. The system is good for skirmish type games where all the stats are fixed for each model (and stats are kept lower) but do not think they will fit well in a rpg type game.
If you can't beat them, eat them

In for a dungeon master pledge, but I'll be hitting $200 easy. While I'd love to throw it all in now, I'm gonna have to split the cash up in chunks, so the rest of the things will hit in the pledge manager.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I'm definitely getting all the legendary heroes. And the 3 expansions that include minis as well. The two expansions that only include tiles/terrain are possible later. But not at the moment.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it. item 87, skippys list

I'm in for Dungeon Master + Warlord exp, Infernal exp, Black fortress tiles, Tyrant exp, legendary heroes 1+2, kapoka, arianya, gunn, ravena, twilight kin assassin, hard copies of the CYOA books and maybe the resin counters in the PM... My biggest pledge so far! (So excited about this)

Speaking of Dungeon Saga- some rather nice heroes have popped up on Heresy Miniatures Kickstarter for those of you wanting some different stuff to dungeon crawl in...
Dungeon Master, of course.
Abyssals was the first expansion I wanted, so I went for that.
Then the Black Fortress caught my eye, so I picked that up.
The Tyrant of Hapli was obvious, because nobody wants to play a dungeon crawler without a dragon!
So at 185 (postage) I figured feth it, and threw on the greenskin Warlord of Whathisplace so I could get the hardback.
I have minor concerns about the system being adapted to an RPG based system, but if the base game plays quickly and easily I'll be happy enough really.
The hardback book and the resin Necromancer/Troll/Dwarf/Banshee pack.
“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

I'm in for Dungeon Master, the three alternative campaigns (Orcs, Abyssal, Dragon), the Black Fortress, traps, counters, dungeon critters, the dwarf engineer and the Twilight Kin assasin. I may get the Halls of Dorgath if they aren't duplicate tiles. I'm on the fence re: more minis. With Bones 1, I have more fantasy minis than I could ever really need, but the legendary heroes are calling to me...
I went in for thhe Dungeon Master and threw in an extra 25$ for one of the expansions. Not sure which one yet. I will probably add in more during the pledge manager, but we'll see how it goes.
The plan is to get get the base game and every expansion + resin of all the heroes and their legendary counterpart.
My wife totaled her car so my gaming money is going to medical bills until we get reimbursed.
Yeesh. Hope she's alright mate :/
She is OK for the most part, really stiff and has some neck issue but nothing that time and physio shouldn't be able to heal.. She hit a deer at 80 km/h and decimated the deer and her car.
I am really excited to get the pledge manager and get everything gameplay related. Only a year to go!

Nothing. In retrospect, I should have pledged $1 just in case something interesting came up, but I ignore "Descent clones" as a general rule. Although I'd probably pick up a Project Pandora reboot just for the new variant minis, if such a thing came to pass.

Umm thanks for posting lord_blackfang. Though I'm not sure why you bothered, if you didn't actually back the project. Just feels like you posted just to grumble about it being a clone of another IP.
Dungeon Master
+ Warlord of Galahir
+ Infernal Crypts
+ Tyrant of Halpi
+ Black Fortress
and then later on I'll decide if I want the resin traps, resin counters and bones, dice, dice bag. Resin legendaries are only an outside chance, I'll wait for sculpts but I have a bunch of Bones 2 coming soon that will work just as well.
I am definitely buying the two CYOA books. If they offer an option to buy a print edition of the novel, I'll go for that, too.
As for the $100 pledge, it depends on what I think of the material when my MA rewards arrive. And if Reaper 2 fails to over-satisfy. And if I have any money set aside in my hobby coffers.
