Hi Everyone,

We're working on combining three things which have been fun - taking photos of Warhammer 40K in natural settings - bring pink Orks (and their story) - and a looted wagon lionel steam engine.

Have worked on a Chaptah One - where the Pink Orks are first painted pink and mor-ooned. We think still have quite a bit of work to do in order to get a full handle on good Ork grammer and swearing. Have been reading Deff Swadron to work on it.

Please let us know if anyone has good ideas for planet name to use for Chaptah One. We're pretty much rookies at the 40K universe - and don't really have a sense of "where" it makes sense for the Pink Orkys to be mor-ooned.

My wife's inspiration for the pink bases, the pink flock, and the purple weapons all has a backstory - an Ork Space-Hulk landed on a planet with a pink loamy terrain (every other color is represented on planets). Gretchin eventually mined some purple metal that would later be named "Purpleanium" which Orks took to with zeal.

Scavenging and warring across the planet, I suspect it was once an Eldar bastion due to the prolific colors.



Make up anything you like. Make it fun. Color blind orks that think pink is red and the pink ones go faster. Or a Big Mek that has a fascination with pink. Or anything at all.

I once did a paint commission for a friends' daughter, she wanted Orks with a real difference, they were orks with pink skin, blue eyes, red nails, and purple uniforms/clothing. I gave them brass looking armor, almost a gold sheen to them. the Orks skin by the time I was done looked like Pepto-Bismal Orks

She had a fiendish concept, as she was just 13yrs old.....If she lost, the opponents hardly had bragging righst for beating a little girl who had pink orks, conversely, she also saw how humlitaing losing to her would be as the opponent would have lost to the same little girl and her pink skinned Orks.
