It should come up as soon as the site loads. Also - Q "And is there anything you would like to tell us about how we could improve our webstore?" My Answer "Having the FAQ section and articles back on the site like before would be nice."

I was browsing the site for a while and it just popped up randomly. It's actually quite weirdly done, it asks you if you'd do the survey, you click yes, then another window opens, but not the survey, it's a window telling you to not close it and keep browsing the store and when you're finished the survey will come up. When you close the GW store window, another window will pop up with the survey.
I guess they wanted unnecessary complexity to be in keeping with the rest of the site

Ah! It finally came up. I told them what I think (the tick-boxes are not useful, I'd like to be able to just open up bigger pictures and not have to use the auto-zoom function, and how I'm not a Games Workshop Hobbyist because there is no such thing). HA! Seems that way.

My gripe about the webstore is (on the canadian site)
No matter where the F&&& i click i cannot see the entire range of paints/washes/ etc.
as an example, im looking for a black wash, no idea what its called. can i find a "washes" section on the website? nope.

Oh I had forgotten about that. You can actually do it, you right click on the image and "open link in new tab", it opens the original larger version of the image. It also works on many images which don't have the autozoom function, there's often a larger version of the image that they are hiding for some strange reason. I should have mentioned that in my ways to improve the site, lol, though I did mention (and gave a few examples) where it was annoying that the website contradicted typical browser behaviour.

I started filling in the survey, but once I said my reason for coming to the webstore was to fill in the survey, it became increasingly meta. They asked why I was not fully successful in leaving feedback, and the most accurate answer would have been "Because you're asking me why I was not fully successful in leaving feedback, and it's getting in the way of my attempts to leave feedback".

That's because they renamed the washes as shades, if you search "shade" you'll find them.
The search function on the website is pretty useless though.

I have to agree with the others who think this survey is one of the requirements in the contract with whoever built the webstore for GW.

A requirement put in by who?
If GW didn't want a survey they would simply not have it in the development contract to do one.

Kilkrazy wrote:A requirement put in by who? If GW didn't want a survey they would simply not have it in the development contract to do one. By GW. They'd want to know how well their website was being received, so it's likely they'd add that in (the survey isn't about GW, it's about the website). Alternatively, a survey after X months of service could be the standard practice of the mob GW got to make the website and something this group does for all their projects, and not just GW's website.

I'm a big fan of the Webstore. I like the ultra high res photos, the 360 shots and the sprue shots. I also love 'What's new today' and all the painting videos.
My only feedback in the survey was they should explicitly state on every models profile if it is Plastic, Resin or Metal (90% are clear but a few aren't), and also they should make 'What's New Today' much more prominent. (Who would know to click the white dwarf logo?)

Highly likely to be the second option. Ooo, Kirby is going to be soo mad when he finds out about this "You did what kind of research?! Get out of my lair and stop being otiose."

Oh my, those poor servitors that is supposed to summarise all the rage and built up frustration towards GW canalised in this survey...
Well if its a start of something, its pretty smart to start on this level, just asking about the web store.

It's our opportunity to tell them to make it possible to make orders thru the GW website for forge world models to be delivered to our local GW stores to save on delivery charges. Everyone should hop on and let them know that

I like the webstore in terms of simply ordering things, but, I did compare it to the website of yesteryear and suggested the old content should come back. I also told them to bring out a paper Codex for the SoB and some plastic minis so I can spend some money at last, and while I was at it mentioned the Specialist Games models too; I can only assume that GW doesn't really like me spending money on eBay for models I would rather buy from them?
Not the feedback they were looking for I'm sure but, since there is little connection between GW and its customers I didn't want to waste the opportunity.

I've been using the webstore since launch and I didn't know there's a what's new today or painting videos...
