1+ Squads of Sisters of Battle

Humanity's Shield: Any squad that takes casualties that can draw LOS to a friendly Sisters of Battle unit may ignore 1 failed save for every Sister within LOS. Remove the Sisters instead.
Faith's Sacrifice: Whenever a Daemonic unit enters play, remove one squad of Sisters of Battle. That Daemonic unit takes 1d6 wounds. Take saves as normal.

I like the direction, the rules need to be just a bit better. You need to strike just the right balance between encouraging people to spend $100 on a unit of Sisters and then filling them with unending despair when that unit barely appears on the table.

I suggest the following tweak:

Humanity`s Shield: Leave your Sisters at home (proof of purchase required). All other units in your army receive a 3+ invulnerable save.

Nah, then you get WAAC buggers forging proof of purchase.
What you do is glue the sisters onto any vehicles. That vehicle gains a 3+ invul.

I was wondering if this is actual storyline for a progression of the timeline of 40k. Are they trying to squat the nids and blood Angels both at the same time? I mean you have the Nids come in and swallow up all the Blood Angels and their decendents and begin making new generations of broodlings including the overpowered Astrofex and Baal Carnifex (which this splinter of the hive won't share with the other splinters). After a short time random members of the hive will become really angry and start calling the other splinters "traitor" and wearing black and acting all Emo.

Yeah I think it was pretty obvious that all the Sisters jokes were just that: jokes. (btw, I play Sisters as well)

Considering the treatment the Sisters have gotten from GW, it's pretty justified as well (if not a bit too easy... like your mom!).

It's understandable that you don't get it Hybrid. You're a SoB player after all, and historically they lack any sense of humour. I think it stems from not playing a real army, or an army that anyone cares about (except other SoB players).

No, we have sense of humour...it just involves flamethrowers and melta guns, so usually, our jokes are one-sided.

But hey, at least what remains after this can be called black humour. Haha! What? It's not funny? That's because you don't play SoB, I guess.

Was it even a rumour? It might have just been the echo chamber wish-listing.

I call BS on it, the rumour that talked about sang termies suggested they would be here by now.

I can't believe we've still had nothing concrete. Getting past the point of frustration visiting this thread hoping for news and there being none.

Do we even have a price for the Leviathan book yet?

Thing is there has been news. Accurate rumors from lords of war gaming and sporadic news from other sources, not to mention its almost assured that we will be in part 2 of the new campaign.

I hope so too, but Blood Angels players have been dumped on for a long time, and the activeness of this thread with so little information shows just how ready we are for a new book that DOESNT suck and for GW to just pay a little attention to us. After 2 editions of straight nerfs and being the last marine dex left in the stone age, not to mention seeing 2 books get updated TWICE before us, its no wonder we are all impatient, frustrated, and exceptionally pissed off.

Might be time to close this thread after all. The week 43 teaser for white dwarf in next weeks issue says "return to the end tumes". Fan-freaking-tastic. Whatever, guess we're gonna wait another year.

OR you could step back and recognize that the campaign boxed set has still not been released.

If you look at how the release for the previous 40k campaign went, then you would realize that Space Wolves did not get their new book until after the Stormclaw box came out.

As with many of these campaign books, supplies are limited.

If you have an FLGS, I'd strongly suggest getting in a pre-order with them. It might help with how many they are allowed by GW this coming monday.

If you don't have a FLGS, be diligent in ordering from the website early, or talking to the manager of your local GW.

The previous book-box-book campaign was not a 3-week release you know.

If you can keep your head, while all about you are losing their's, then you have probably completely misunderstood the situation!

A sanguinary termy would be a sanguinary guard with invul. save.

We dont need new models, just improve what we already have. Can SG ever be competitive? i dont think so, but its an important improvement to begin with.

I thought the sang termies were a special BA termie kit? Or dk you mean rules wise it's like giving them an invul?

In terms if making them useful, bigger squads would help, as long as it came with a massive points drop. Even then, there's still be better options. Access to stormshields since we never get +1attack because of stupid 2 handed weapons.

Besides totally breaking the fluff for sanguinary guard that might work.. Although the poster could have meant sanguinary priest terminator models as well.

Makes absolutely no sense to have sanguinary guard in terminator armor since they're not terminators or 1st company vets.

3 changes that would make sanguinary guard awesome: give them the forgeworld version of glaive encarmines (master crafted 2 handed power swords, but +1 str on the charge), drop them to 30 points, and make angelus pattern bolters 18 inch range.

I think the sanguinary terminators were really just the Space Hulk terminators and whoever saw them just didn't recognise them. About the same time (last December?) there were also rumours of push fit BA for a starter box - could they have just been the BA terminators as well?!

But for wishlisting - I'd love a clampack sanguinary priest in terminator armour! ;-)
