But jumping back to the topic at hand; it really does look like us BA guys are about to get an amazing modeling boost with this new Tactical box. I actually kind of feel bad for the regular SM players who don't get as many sweet bits in their boxes.

I run dual Plasma Pistols on some of my Guard sergeants, and while it's stupidly impractical and results in many a suicide, it's too cool to pass up.

Even at 1 ppm the usefulness of death masks will entirely depend on what they do. Right now they have a weird version of super fear that only works when the unit charges but ignores ATSKNF and fearless. If they change it to just fear, itll be pretty useless.

Yeah, at 25pts per unit, Death Masks were a horrid upgrade. Really, they should come standard on Death Company since half of the appeal of building the models is to give them the cool looking Death Masks.

This is totally wishful thinking, but i really hope that the new death masks deny the opponent a chance to overwatch.

I'm in for the Data cards, I was VERY much in for some dice but GW couldn't take 5 mins out of their day to find out that Gamers don't want to be sad/upset to see their beloved symbol mean their models are no longer in the game. Same reason I'm not getting Tyranid Dice and same reason my friends have said they wont buy dice if they come out for their factions (can you tell how annoyed I am by this? lol). However as much as I want that Codex , I'm in the can't stand hard cover codex group and will either buy the Digital version and print my own out or........ as much as I hate to do it, wait for the soft cover I want soooooo badly

Hm.. can buy more models by not buying codex, cards or dice.. As if I need more dice. Seems a much more efficient use of limited dollars!

I don't know if this has been said yet, but almost everything has been removed from the Blood Angels online store in the US. The only things remaining are the special characters, furioso dread, and baal predator.

No? Furioso dread and baal predator both came with the last book. They're probably being rebox and/or rebranded.

Yea, the only BA specific stuff removed was DC and Sanguinary Guard. The rest of the kits weren't BA specific, although we already know we're getting a Tac box for sure. The rest are being re-boxed with larger 32mm bases.

I believe that you misinterpreted my post, I am aware that the dread and predator were from last book, they are still on the site. Im talking about how literally everything else has been removed. Theres no land raiders, no terminators, no stormraven, no rhinos, no devastators, most everything is gone.

Now, I don't play blood angels, but im pretty sure all of those were previously in their book. What im saying is that, with these all being removed, could they be getting special blood angels variants of a lot of those models??

That's not how GW releases space marines.. All marines can use same base vehicles for the most parts. If you want blood angel branded vehicles you buy FW doors.

None of that is getting new models (maybe terminators).. Devastators can be made with the tactical squad.

When they redid the website the things that are also in the SM army only appeared on the SM army page (annoying as all get out, and terrible marketing IMO, but that's beside the point). The same thing occurs for the GK, go take a look.

Oh jeez, I didn't realize they just moved all that stuff to the space marine section. I can imagine that makes it pretty annoying to shop for blood angels, space wolves, grey knights, and dark angels.

If only my parasite had been too. I finished painting my converted parasite of mortrex a week before the tyranid codex early this year. and then it wasn't in the codex! games workshop even had the audacity to tease me over it by giving him a tiny little paragraph of fluff in the new codex.

yeaaaa, the parasite was a sad event. However just so you're aware the new DC models will 100% be coming on 32mm bases now and very likely the Tactical and sanguinary guard as well. However theres nothing stopping you from using 25mm but dont be shocked when you see those bases in your boxes, its not a mistake.

The same tau that have totally nerfed Blood Angels DoA special rule for nearly two editions due to interceptor on ridiculous under-costed MC's.

I can't wait to see this tactical squad when it goes up later. Going to be hard not to hit that preorder button!

I'm a little concerned that this Lib is another direct port from Space hulk. I love that current finecast Termie Lib but it's finecast, so I've held off getting it and am using my old 1st ed one. which is slimmer than a normal Termie and looks odd.
