I just on the terminator librarian from space hulk, thinking about painting it blood angels or adding it to my actual marine army as I have no librarians.

I'm not fussed about a Terminator libby for BA. I'll just use Calistarius from SH thanks

I really don't like the SH sculpt. I'm basing the rest of the Termies for 40k at the moment but I'm not bothering with him.

I genuinely think that Finecast one is in my top 5 greatest GW sculpts, maybe my favourite ever.

1ppm to totally nerf Tau? Yeah, it's a new level of wishful thinking dude!

Or to, you know, make an assault army super viable in this edition.

But nerfing tau would be a hilarious byproduct

So if the DC in Deathstorm are 210. Assuming the load out wargear cost the same that puts them at 25 ppm with jump packs. Which under the old pricing would make jps 5ppm.

Which is pretty groovy.

I would be cool to see an assault army get some love, but you can't go round in a cycle breaking armies. I'll be happy with a slight points reduction. If we are wishlisting I'll take the ability to assault direct from a Rhino and Drop-pod

Well, sang guard will have to pay for those death masks, what's your point? If your point is that the cost would be very undercoated, and your argument is that a riptide (notably known as one of THE most undercoated units in the game) and it has to pay for interceptor (wouldn't need sky fire for deep striking jump pack troops) which some may argue is also undercoated as an upgrade then well... I don't have much too say.

Also, consider that Sang guard may still be 0-1 as a unit choice with the chance of only a specific formation allowing more then you don't really have too much too worry about. Avoid them, or kill them before they get in position to ignore your overwatch.

I dread to think how much a clamshell Termintor character will cost, seeing as the Sanguinary Priest is £18...

Are we really posting that more money...allows you to buy more stuff? Back to BA!

Hey at least it was about buying BA models instead of international time zones.

You do know he was asking time zones so he could know when pre-orders go up so he could buy Blood Angels as well?

I'm even more evil than that. I put it on my Broadside with HYMP & SMS unit instead. 24 shots all with the interceptor rule and twin linked.

You know you have to pay for interceptor right? and Skyfire?

I'm a little concerned that this Lib is another direct port from Space hulk. I love that current finecast Termie Lib but it's finecast, so I've held off getting it and am using my old 1st ed one. which is slimmer than a normal Termie and looks odd.

yeah, but interceptor is only 5pts a model and it's freaking awesome for what it does.

I wish for the assaulting from a Rhino so much. We are the one chapter with fluff that pretty much states we should be able to do it. Talking about the fluff of the Lucius pattern engine from the 3rd ed codex here.

My gaming group has basically said "screw that" to that rule and gone back to the 5th ed rules for assaulting from transports.

Heard from someone with the Deathstorm book;

Death company are WS4 now
They can score normally now
210 points for 5 with jump packs 1 powerfist, 1 thunderhammer, 1 infernus pistol, 1 power sword and a character with three attacks. If all the weapons cost the same apparently that works out to 25 points per jump pack death company boy.

Let the flood gates open!

Well that works out to a 50 pt reduction for the squad between the old codex and the new. It does come at the cost of reducing WS from 5 to 4. I wonder how that character is getting an extra attack. They probably introduced the idea of a Death Company Sergeant. I guess I am okay with that.

Im fine with WS4 and a nice cost reduction as far as DC keep relentless, furious charge and FnP. I love both bolter (1PF) and css/bolt pistol setups mixed in a 10 men blob. Keeping them cheap and cost effective was always vital for such overcosted units, now even better.

Well, they call him out as the Death Company's Squad Leader(not as a Sergeant specifically) in WD#44 so perhaps we will start seeing Death Company as able to be controlled and directed a little in the Fluff. It is cool that they are using a character from the novels as someone for Deathstorm.

Just wanted to point out that the Sanguinary Guard and Death Company are back on the GW website. Out of stock and their links are dead though.

Also, it is Bloody Toll not Bloody Yell. Sorry for the mistake earlier.

Funny thing is, the new bases have 2013 as a production date. I wonder how long this was planned.

So Furious Charge seems to be the Universal rule, Rage, fearless and Feel No Pain the Death Company rule. Nothing about rolling randomly.

Also, the relentless unit didn't have any rapid fire, salvo, heavy or ordnance weapons if I read that right. Pointless rule?

What I found interesting is the cost of the Terminator squad. Would have expected them to be reduced to something like 33 per model as well like the GK terminators and Sanguinary Guard. Of course, they could still be lower in the real codex.

You're welcome. And indeed they have it seems, but I guess it's safe to say it remains at 6.

Jefffar wrote:

For consistency with the codex, I assume.
