But don't, just don't unless you have no other choice.
If you don't have any other models, you can try a few games if you warn your opponent.
My advice would be to pick up some models because this will get boring very quickly (for you) and just frustrating for your opponent.

Meh, I wouldn't be too bothered by it. I had an opponent use one in a 1250 tournament game but I was able to dismantle it in a single turn with DE. It seems kind of like putting all your eggs in one basket to me. If the army has the right tools you'll get crushed, if they don't you'll probably crush them. I don't think it will make for very fun games either way though.

P.S.A. I won't read your posts if you break it into a million separate quotes and make an eyesore of it. |

Yeah...that was a 240 point centurion squad.
You can get two more for the points cost of the transcendent C'tan.
So you kill one, maybe two when its your turn, but the remaining third will finish you off.
And with the whole Space Wolf drop pod assault thing, you put all three on D-pods and 2 will automatically arrive on turn 1...so yeah, 6 unsaved wounds dealt.
First off, it's 250 points.
So, let's make a list then. Two squads of Centurions, 500 points, a Librarian with ML2 and Bones of Osric (Sentinels of Terra, which can take Dev Cents as HS and Elite) and we're at 600 plus change. 5 Tacticals in a Pod (for the mandatory Troop and the third Pod) and we're at 700 plus change. Now, main detachment of SW. Rune Priest, ML2, we're at 800. Two empty Pods. 870. Two five man BC squads and we're at 1,000.
If the C'tan is on the table and you get first turn, you drop in, kill it and win the game. Yay!
Of course, I did already say that there are builds that can deal with it in the fething post you quoted, but, hey, let's just cut that part out and pretend I never said it so you can, what? Look smart? Please...
This is assuming the enemy doesn't deploy and use terrain in such a way to prevent you from dropping pods in within range of the c'tan. I played that match at 1850 with melta pods and grav cent pods, tigurius and a rune priest. By the time I could get into melta or grav range, my squad was almost dead due to 30 str8 hits per turn plus the template shots.

Actually yes, he is forging the narrative, not because the rules or the fact of playing one LOW on a 1k game, this actually happen in nightbringer, an ultramarine novel, where uriel ventris fight againts a just aweken c´tan.
At firts i was like "this post should be named as trolltime" but then remember the book, this give a great chance to create a good mission, maybe a mision where you have to survive 3 or 4 turns against the c´tan, of couser you havwe to tonned down the powers of the trancendent c´tan, or maybe capture 4 objetives and hold them one turn to represent melta charges, activating them to blow up the place and buried the c´tan, i dont know but it gives a lot to create new scenarios

Yeah, this.
The lad who played the C'tan all the time at our place stopped getting games. It's overpowered and sucks the fun out a game. At 1000 points, multiple the suck factor by 10.
