Khyron's quote is a little ambiguous, is there any link which connects it to Sevatar?

No, they never state for certain he's dead, there's no body. After the Horus Heresy the Prince of Crows went up in smoke like the Primarchs.

“There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance.”

Yep they categorically state he be dead, when curze asks for him they say he is dead and died fighting the dark angels at .. That planet I forgot the name.

Not doubting they can handwavium him back, but they have said be is dead.

And since Zso Sahaal was the 1st Captain at the time of Curze's death... Even if Sevatar survived, he was dead to the Legion before the end of the Heresy.

Just because the night lords say he's dead doesn't mean the night lords are correct. IIRC, wasn't there also a discussion where one of them specifically pointed out that he might actually still be alive because they never found the body before the rest just brush it off with a handwave "There's no way he could have survived that" remark?

Garviel Loken was on an exterminatus'd planet specifically bombarded into oblivion by Horus to make sure no one survived, yet he did. Everyone knows that for a narrative, as long as you don't find the body, there's a good chance they're still alive.

With the release of Child of Night, it's looking far more likely that Zharost, the former chief librarian of the Night Lords, may be Khyron.

Also one of the short stories mentioned that Kurze has sentenced sevatar to death but is waiting until later in the heresy to kill him.

Apparently it is related to Khyron and Sevatar both using a halberd.
