Whats everyone looking forward to for Christmas this year from GW or any other companies? There should be a few more releases from GW between then and now.

Lower prices...

In all seriousness though, not really looking for any GW stuff at the moment, mainly due to cost, but also have too much old crap to paint.

Also this probably shouldn't be in the painting and modelling section.

While I've basically had my Xmas present from GW in the form of Space Hulk (I was going to put it away, honest... but it was just too awesome!), the one thing they could release that could get me to instantly spend money regardless of price is Smaug. I've shied away from the Hobbit stuff as I find the pricing obscene (especially compared to the LotR stuff 'back in the day'), but give me this in model form and I'll start throwing money at them!

Yes, it will be massive. Yes, it will be overpriced, but ever since reading the Hobbit for the first time I've wanted Smaug as a mini (not sure that's the right word... )

Failing that, I'll grab the Malifaux Lucius Crew and call it a day...

Nowt at all. I'd take some Hobbit stuff if the price was right but the cheapest I can get is 30% off, which is still 20% overpriced.

For my gaming fix:

Studio Miniatures Zombies (The A-Team, Wizard of Oz)
Battlefronts Great War army sets
Malifaux Gremlins & Ten Thunders.

Double check the renovation schedule before you head off though.

Snotlings, or the bases they come on.
Gotta throw together some core too, which I already own, then it's all about the snotlings!

I would love to get the SM Strikeforce. I will most likely not actually get it due to price and the backlog of minis I already need to assemble and paint. Here's to dreaming!

Might see about getting hold of Bolt Action's Armoured Fury, and possibly, possibly some stuff to start Saga with, if I can decide which miniatures to go for.

But from GW? Sod all.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

This.

A GW defeat in the Chapter House Studios Case.

Oh, and Smaug for The Hobbit.

Could the thread title be changed to "Wargaming Christmas wishlist" or similar? I see no reason for this to be exclusive to GW products.

Indeed, we need a more general thread.

I'm afraid I'm going to be echoing a few posters so far and say nothing from GW...

But I'm just getting into Warmachine and hope to grab around 35pts of Khador around the Christmas holiday. Also I'm going to be dabbling in 15mm Bolt Action. So some Airfix stuff as well.

And for around half of what I used to spend on GW

This is, of course, a wishlist and as such it depends on the monetary situation. As my wife and I have just bought our first house, it could just be a pipe dream. Throw in the fact that my dog seems to actively enjoy getting injured and well, let's just say it might have to be a frugal Christmas...

Not getting anything GW related this year (for the first time in many many years). Instead getting something for Flames of War from my bro inlaw (no idea what) and possibly Zombicide from my Mum

Great.

I'm looking forward to build up a Crxy army.
I like the look and the rules of this faction.
Christmas is the right time to gather models and units for two casters, pGaspy and pShade.

Thanks, man

For me it depends on what money's left after I've bought gifts for the little relatives. I might expand my Skorne force as a Christmas gift to myself, but misc 6-15 mm fantasy/historical manufacturers, Prodos Games and Mantic Games are all competing for room in the budget.

Edited for spelling...

Disclaimer: when I said I want Smaug for Christmas, I meant I just want to see it, because I think it'll be an awesome model. I'm not actually going to buy it, its gonna be way overpriced, and even worse if its Finecrap.

My wish list is going to depend heavily on 1) If End Times: Khaine is out before xmas, and 2) if it allows Elves Undivided.

In general though, a whole lotta Warhammer Fantasy Battle.

Cauldron of Blood
Witch elves
Hydra
Frost Phoenix
Ogre Ironblaster
Leadbelchers
Nurgle Daemons
Warriors of Chaos
etc etc
Lotsa stuff.

I want these guys. 15 Anglo Saxon or Viking Miniatures for £25, or all 30 for £40. Thats less than £1.70 per (presumably metal) miniature!

I’m running low, but not out, of things to get for my marines.

2 more bikes (for character conversions) or another half dozen for a mounted command squad.
3 scout bikes to boost the squad I have
Box of bolter scouts
Vindi
Stalker/hunter
Maybe a whirlwind.

If I get moving more of the Eldar force I’ve had simmering on the back burner for years, there are a number of things I’d like for them. Fire Prism and a box of the new wraithguard topping the list.

The other gaming stuff on my wish list is either RPGs (some Pathfinder books) or computer (Civ:BE). I guess some new NERF guns might also qualify. While the lever-action, magazine fed gun I got for my birthday helps bridge the firepower gap, The Boy still has me outgunned with a motorized assault rifle. Unless I break out the bazooka, but that’s the nuclear option.

Edit:
Forgot I could always use some new KR cases for some of the new stuff I picked up/old Eldar.

Well, lets see:

- Zuriel, Dynamo and the Strider Blightblades all come out during Christmas time.

And my wallet is shaking in dread at the release of Star Wars: Armada, which thankfully is bit after Christmas so it gets some time to recuperate.
