What do you guys think of the new models in the Dec 13 White Dwarf? Personally, I think the new Assault Terminators are gorgeous -- especially the stormshield variants. The question is, how good are they in the Codex? :X Will I do anything with them other than model them?

For people who haven't seen it, there are some interesting tidbits:

- 6 distinct stormshields (!) per box
- 5 distinct thunderhammers
- 5 distinct pairs of lightning claws
- 5 personal icons
- set includes 1st company banner (which looks pretty awesome) topped with an icon of Sanguinius
- 12 right shoulder titling plates to choose from

The librarian looks kind of like Calistarius from the SH box. He has a force axe, is in terminator armor, and has a psychic hood. The right hand has 2 options, an open palm or a combi-melta. It is a beautifully crafted model, I think. But how many more librarian models do we need LOL.

I am really hoping for some interesting/fun rules in the upcoming supplement (rumored to be BA 1st company) so that I have an excuse to get these guys and model up some more of my many many many AoBR terminators.

Well if you do it right you can get +1 I and WS with furious charge and FnP. That makes lightning claws terminator pretty awesome to me...

That was my first impression too. I have enough SH termies (new, unpainted from 3 unopened boxes) that I could finish 5 each of TH/SS and LC. Kinda tempting

I might get the Termies further down the line so the pair of CC Termies in SH have some company, but I'll be sticking with Callistarius as my TDA Librarian. Unlike the new Tacticals, I shan't be bumping this week's releases up the buying/painting schedule.

If they really have that many right shoulder armors, I might pick some up to BA-ify my Deathstorm Terminators. If not, I am sure the shoulder armors will hit eBay soon.
