Too bad I don't like the look of the marauder grunts... they're going for less than a buck a piece.

$15 for 10 vets of 10 rangers is quite nice as well, if I weren't on a hobby budget freeze I'd seriously consider grabbing a few more. I would say to use as zombie conversions but honestly the new zombies are a lot thicker/chunkier/possibly heroic-ier and their helmets are like twice the size of the corporation marines =/

I'm tempted myself to grab some Forgefather Steel Warriors at that insane price, but having seen how nicely the DZ hard plastics have come out, I think the smart money is on waiting for WP next year. Not like I'm going to get to use them anyway, so I'd rather wait for nicer minis to paint.

Yeah, that's where I am on steel warriors. If I want any more I could just order the top halves from a certain ebay store and cannibalize my fantasy dwarfs from the Mhorgoth starters I happen to have. And I liked the look of the new renders we saw in the N&R thread at some point. Not much change but edit out the fantasy pants and they look a lot nicer already.

How do the WP enforcers stack up against the deadzone ones? I should probably wait for the Hard Plastics but they're on sale so if they're close enough they'd work for now.

They're a bit different. Just look at the photos and you can see. The older warpath ones are actually more detailed in some ways, but they *are* worse to work with. I mean it's not any worse than having a couple of different marks of power armor in a space marine squad.

Yeah, if you want to bulk out a squad or two for Warpath proper, it's probaby worth grabbing some of these at this price. They can be a pain to work with (but not as much as some like to say) and the detail once you paint them up is fine. You also get a Burst Laser and Energy Sword in the set as well, so you could get most of a Deadzone team for £7.99 with a little conversion. Enforcers typically only have 6 guys in a squad at most in DZ.

I posted a comparison pic of my deadzone and warpath restic assault enforcers a while back here. In a full squad I find they mix pretty well. Not had my hard plastic ones arrive yet and am hoping they fit in as well

I think the newer HP stuff is a lot closer to the DZ sculpts, maybe just a tiny bit larger, but not terribly noticeable.

They do seem a bit swamped though, I placed an order two weeks ago and it's still awaiting dispatch...

I've bought a bunch of Steel Warriors in the last year or so, but also bought these:

So you can have two squads of Steel Warriors each with a missile launcher.

I like the metal space dwarfs better but for the cost I'll probably just wait for hard plastics and use m hybrid scifantasy dwarfs
