Here's my work in progress on an Death Korps in 54mm. I'm a bit out of practice as I've not had time to paint at all in recent months but I'm happy with it so far. The base is unfinished, I'll probably do something with brown gravel and flock as all my inquisitor figures ideally will be based the same...
Is it that much out of place? I converted the rifle from another part putting a stock on it and extending with a grip. I tried to make it bare some resemblance to the Death Korp rifles without making it entirely from scratch
I think it looks fine. If he's off world he likely had to replace his weapon with a more common pattern. Or he's operating in close quarters where a full size rifle would be awkward.

It's actually one of the smaller 28mm lasguns that I've extended and put a stock on (and definitely only the one for the person above). It still looks a little too chunky. I'm going to need to make a pile soon though.
I'll have a think on the gasmask lenses, might just paint the rings on and drop some gloss into the eyehole.
