Hey guys. So putting together part of icestorm I found the male non cornrows model really hard to put together without a gap either between the hand on the gun and the wrist or the shoulders just couldn't fit it together, had a similar problem with one of the wildcats from the corrigator box set. Anyone have other models they have struggled to out together.? If so how did you fix it?

Both of the male Wildcats in the Corregidor starter set were obnoxious to put together, especially because of the similarities between the pieces, if they mispacked them in their baggies.

Yeah I agree. Green stuff is needed for those.

Nah, you don't need Green Stuff. Just lots and lots of dry fitting and marking it off with a Sharpie.

You mark where they should go with a sharpie? I'll give that a try thanks.

I dry fit them to look first. After that I glue the little arm part on first, usually the part not holing the gun. Then I fit the army with gun to it.

With older Infinity miniatures there are some issues with putting together. The only ones I had an issue with Operation Icestorm was one of the female miniatures because of her arm. It was way too thin to pin and became fragile. After cleaning well, scouring the connector, superglue held much better. The rest of the models dry fit together really well. The trick is to figure out how to turn and slide them into place, marker is a good idea.

In Icestorm, I did have to GS the arms on the two male Alguaciles, and the female one proved difficult just due to the narrow contact points, but other than that it was fine.

Any model where the arms join at the gun (ie holding a gun with both hands). I don't know why I have this modelling deficiency, but even on newer stuff with guide pegs to make sure they line up, I can never get any model holding a gun with 2 hands to assemble well. I either end up using green stuff to fill in a gap at the wrist or a gap at one of the shoulders.

Both of my Acontecimento Regulars' ankles snapped way too easily, but I've managed to pin them back in place. My Icestorm Nisse's gun arm just wouldn't go on with the original peg/hole combo, but was fine when I cut the peg off and remade it with a lump of putty (this may have been my fault as I've seen nobody else with the same issue).

Apart from that, the only issues I've had have been with getting pins into some of the more dynamic poses, but nothing has been impossible.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

It's actually not an uncommon issue. There are instances where the slot to receive the peg is essentially "miscast" and has flash/trash metal inside that ruins the join.

The female fusilier from O:I had that on her leg that wasn't attached. I all but ended up filing off the pistol to get it into place. On that note, I also (because I'm an idiot) over clipped the flash on the corn row alguacil & looped his hand off. me.

Remember that there is some flexibility to those arms. I find that for the two handed hold on the guns, I sometimes need to bend, ever so slightly, one or both pieces, to get things to line up. I think I ended doing that for one of the Alguaciles, not sure if it was the Latino one (Cornrows) which is possibly intended as the Alguacil Ortega, Angus's nemesis.

The horror, and I have two Su Jians, that means 2 combat forms and 2 mobility forms, a tip? pin everything and be cautious with what you do, with patience is doable

I left the back antenna off the old hellcats I have because i hated putting them on and they fell off a lot.

Anyone have one of those old Boarding Shotgun Odalisques? You had to literally remove her right breast to get those arms to fit correctly. Penthesilea step aside, the true Amazon is here.

I wonder how that one got through quality control. I don't know how model creation works, but I always assumed they sculpted (or designed on a computer) a fully posed model, then "broke it into pieces" to make sprue layouts. Unless I'm completely wrong about that the only way I could see it happening is the "Tomb Raider option" where someone said "make the breasts bigger" at the last moment, and they ended up going with it (If you didn't know, that actually happened in the first Tomb Raider game. One of the model designers mis-clicked and made Laura's breasts oversized. The other people making the game basically said "works for me, keep it.").

I know it happened to the Tech Bee's box art, Bostria told me that they had the picture done, that the girl had such an angel's face and then the artist said "she needs some bigger ones," and this is the way we got the Tech Bee's box art.

It's a bit different for a model. It's sculpted then cut apart for casting. The fact that the arm did not fit because one boob was too big makes you wonder how they did it in the first place. Like dementedwombat said, the only explanation is if after the model was cut apart for casting, they decided to make that boob bigger.
