I was looking over the models on the GW site, when I began to wonder how to people typically pronounce Daemon? The original Latin pronunciation or the English one? Personally I favor Daymon, simply as it helps differentiate the very unique definitions of Daemons from Demons, as the two are not the same and Demon is typically associated with Judeo-Christian spade-tailed red monsters then beings born of unreality and emotion.

'Deemon' for me. Though keep in mind there is the 7 deadly sins that (i think) originated from judeo-christianity of which many of the 40k deamons can be connected to.

I typically use both depending on the circumstance, though I default to a kinda slurred daymen that sounds very similar to deemon so that everyone is happy!

It's not die-mon,
It's not day-mon,
You pronounce it like you'd pronounce the word "demon".

The original latin pronunciation is Daymon. Not demon.

Ive never heard anyone say thats a dee woo, its always day woo. Daewoo is a car if you dont know
English isn't consistent between spelling and pronunciation, especially when the words are from different languages (Daewoo being a Korean word, Daemon comes from Latin or Greek). You can spell the word encyclopaedia or encyclopedia, however I've mostly heard it pronounced encyclop-ee-dia.

Either is correct.
Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines
Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.
Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Technically you pronounce aegis as "ay-gis", with the 'g' being a hard sound like in 'guitar'. Looked it up online, once.
"By this point I'm convinced 100% that every single race in the 40k universe have somehow tapped into the ork ability to just have their tech work because they think it should."
You can hear how they pronounce it as well by clicking on the sound icon beside the name.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
