I use the similar method, except I print my double sided and use a epoxy sticker on each side. It makes it easier to pick up the tokens as the flat side by itself slides around a lot and can sometimes be a pain to pick up. However it is mostly to give my tokens due functionality and reduce the amount overall that I need.

Another option is to buy some cheap acrylic bases from a place like Advanced Deployment, 25mm diameter.

Then, you can either use an adhesive like matte medium to glue the icon to the bottom, facing up.

Or you can just use a wet or dry erase marker to write what you need on the token itself.

Quick thing to add; unless you up the size slightly the Token sheets on the CB website are SLIGHTLY cut off. You can use a black sharpie to neaten up any white showing around the edges (or if you're just sloppy like me and accidentally cut one off centre).

Do you have a number on how slight? Are we talking a specific percentage?

They're not reduced, they're CROPPED. There's a slight flattening at the top and bottom of the image. It looks like whoever did the layout accidentally superimposed layers and cut off part of each token at the top and bottom

I have used this method for making tokens and it is 100% awesome and money saving.

Remember that in addition to printing them out, the tokens are also on the flaps of the boxed minis.

I'll second the recommendation to use the epoxy stickers on both sides; it looks better and makes the tokens way easier to pick up. I've found that paper thickness doesn't matter this way as well. Be sure to use a good laser printer for sharp, vibrant tokens.

You can order a 1" punch on Amazon for around $3.00.

Another way to make them easier to pick-up is to attach a handle.
I personally made traditional token with cardboard and glue.

For easier usage I added these to each token:

Basically I cut the needle out with sidecutters and glued them on tokens for easier to pick up.
For mines/E-maulers and regular Camo-tokens I glued the handle on reverse side, so that the contents wouldn't be revealed until a succesfull Discover-roll.

Has anyone seen 55mm epoxy domes/stickers anywhere? I have plenty of 25mm and 40mm ones, but don't have anything for the larger sizes.

I've ordered a set of the epoxy stickers for myself. Looking forward to having tokens like a real boy! Though I went for 16mm, which might be a problematic size to find a punch for :/

That's quite creative, but they leave a lot to be desired aesthetically. I would have gone with clear push pins, or maybe the ones with a solid sphere to make them look better.

Alas, my local store had only multi-colored packages, so I ended color-coding them. Purple for orders, White for hidden, black for wounds/unconscious etc...

Mantic round bases are a good choice if you want something to print and stick the tokens onto.

- They have tapered edges so you can easily get your fingers underneath them.
- They are as cheap as chips.
