So, I've always watned to play kings of war. Nobody arounds me plays, and I've had trouble settling on an army. I've decided that Adepticon is my moment to finally get some games in at the 1500 point tournament. I don't mind losing all my games, but I want to have fun, and I want to really play the game.

Here is my rough draft, leaving some room for upgrades/magic items.

Ogre Troop, two handed weapons

Shooter (1), Blunderbuss

Red Gobbo Scout Troop

Red Gobbo Scout REgiment

Captain

Ogre tactics are tough to find online, but I've cribbed from where I can. Any thoughts?

Find a way to work in two red goblin boasters (the wagons that blow up). Two small units of berserkers (with obligatory wizard) are also a good call: fly him around behind enemies and zap away. That's my big suggestion. I've run ogres like this to great success.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

the problem is that I don't have the models for any of that. The braves I could probably reasonbly convert, or at least paint up differently enough from the basic ogres, to appear correct, but I really don't feel like dropping $60 for the blasters. Maybe if I played more, I will eventually pick those up, but it's a lot of money for a games that's supposed to be cheap.

I do appreciate the advice, and I'll try to figure out how to make Braves work.

Braves are actually super easy with just using GW Orc arms. They're a perfect fit. Then just give them tattoos and different, wild colored hair, and you're set!

Got a pic of that conversion? Sounds interesting, if slightly weird.

Sadly, not on me: I'm away on a business trip. I can probably snap a few pics when I get home Monday though.

Yeap, that'll work nicely!

Still want to see T2W's pics when he gets back, though.

The goblin explodo-carts you could feasibly build out of anything from thick card to balsa wood. It just comes down to whether you have any suitable warbeasts (Boars, horses, etc) and something like barrels or even crates to use as the explosive cargo...
