GW just re-launched their Harlequins range. For the first time a multipart plastic set!

I followed their announcements closely and I have to admit, I am deeply tempted to get some. Tempted enough to dust off some of my old RT era minis ...

I repainted the bases from their old school green to my usual standard colours these days. Just like I did for my Guardians.

All the rest stayed pretty much the same. A solid but today unfashionable paint job, I even kept the old colour metallics!

Great stuff. I was just thinking about how the flamboyant kin look so very dark and uniform these days.
This is really well done, It would be nice to se you handle the new ones.

I am planning to get 4 of the new Jetbikes, 2 of the Vyper sized transports and one Troupe box. I will then mix with Dark Eldar and old metal Harlequins...

We' see how it works.

I love the old school style here. That Death Jester was my very first mini, I traded off a kid at school for a pack of M&Ms.

I simply love the classic minis and the way you have painted them.

Absolutely beautiful. Nothing I love more than a good, goofy OoP! I highly recommend picking up a box of the new ones as well, and then show us the comparison when you've painted them haha.
I'm starting with Harlies myself, so cheers for the inspiration!

I love your old skool Harlies! I can tell you right now though, as the owner of 30 or 40 metal RT harlequins, that mixing the old metals with the new plastics doesn't work very well. They're just tiny and totally out of scale in comparison.

Can I ask what colors you used on your bases? I'm shopping around for a final base-scheme. Nice work on the harlequins!

Amazing! Reminds me of the old days. I miss the vibrant McVey-GW era color schemes. It is particularly sad that the Harlequins recently done by the GW studio have strayed away from more outlandish color schemes. Way too much black in the latest GW renderings. Nice trip down memory lane. Thanks.

Really nice, retro models. You've done a good job capturing the classic look of retro 40k.

I vastly prefer the old crazy hair Harlequins over the new stage mask and trenchcoat Harlequins (which is why I'm watching Ebay for good auctions on them). You have done a fine job on yours.

I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks

Looks great! I liked the old and mid generation harlies, but what I've seen of the new ones doesn't thrill me. I think its that the masks are all the same and a bit overdone.
