I started a thread with some reviews of some of the (then new) Rubicon 1/56 scale kits. I've since finished building 2 M4A3's; there's a third in progress but I've temporarily run out of bits. Here are some photos.

As mentioned in the earlier thread, there are some issues with the 76mm turret, which I tried to address - it's mostly okay now, although the mantlet still looks too small. I then added as much stowage as I could scrape together to both models - US tanks never look right unless they're laden down with kit. Most of the stowage is from Tamiya, which means it's slightly over scale, but it seems to look okay. The machine guns are from the Warlord M3A1; the .50 cal is rather eccentric in terms of detail, but much chunkier than the one in the Rubicon kit. I've tried to make them as robust as possible, which is why the machine guns are pointing downwards (less chance of barrel snappage). They'll probably be painted as 3rd Armoured Division vehicles, with black camo over the olive drab.

Build a man a fire, and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

What was the 76mm turret issue?
Looking good otherwise.

The shape of the turret bustle is wrong, and the cupola hatch and mantlet are 'off'. See this thread: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/622476.page

I've just noticed I left the co-axial machine gun off the 75mm turret...
