Against Knights. No. That D weapon is not worth going into Melee with anything other than tarpits for us now. DLords would be swatted with little effort.
If they had a reasonable amount of bodies to soak up his melee attacks, maybe. But only have 4 attacks on the charge, hitting on 4s, and Warscythes now being only AP2, it isn't likely he'll be able to kill it quickly, and survive the stomps afterwards

Actually with the change to RP and it specifically not being a save , RP would work against the wounds caused by D weapons.
Vehicle or Building - Devastating Hit: The model suffers a penetrating hit that causes it to lose D6+6 Hull Points instead of 1. No saves of any kind are allowed against this hit.
Non-vehicle - Deathblow: The model suffers a hit that wounds automatically and causes it to lose D6+6 Wounds instead of 1. No saves of any kind are allowed against this hit.
For the purposes of determining if a Destroyer hit has the Instant Death special rule, assume it has Strength 10.
So a Destroyer Lord with the Super Sayan Orb would get to reroll is 4+ against those wounds.
So if you're using the Super Sayan Orb and Res Orb Combo he's got a 4+ reroll.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated. |

However, Reanimation Protocols specifies it cannot be used against Destroyer Hits.

Any Lord (regular, Over or Destroyer) with a warscythe is good against Knights of they have some sort of unit with them. The Knights mediocre WS and A means it won't be able to kill more than a couple of models, which in turn means the warscythe wielder can take off a hull point or two. I'd charge if given the chance. By the time you're in close combat you should have flayed off a few points anyway, making it perfectly possible for a Lord supported by Scarabs, Wraiths or Praetorians with voidblades to finish it off.
Charging in solo, with I2, against a model with a destroyer weapon, is obviously not advised.

The only issue is it you don't kill it the first turn you assault, there's a chance your overlord will be dead from the stomps.
