Well, we know that the freebies will be split across 6 factions and probably some mascots (6 figures + 6 mascots would probably do it for a $200 value? Maybe a couple more.)

A freebie for every day of the campaign, soooo.. 15 freebies total.

edit.

+1 free model in the $10 range if you're a previous backer.

Works out about right then - presuming 1 each for most factions and the same with "mascots" plus 3 more.

Its not a mantic deal...but RH doesn't do Mantic quality either.....

This will be....unique to see play out.

Sometimes watching how kickstarters are run is almost as much fun as getting stuff from them.

I this is mostly done to draw as many people in as possible. It is a good deal, just a shame it's for armies I have no interest in whatsoever.

It will be interesting to see it all kick off tomorrow though.

I wonder when this next one will finish? Both the "estimated" date and the actual...

Actually I just got my "freebies".

Casting is quite nice, but there ARE bubbles and some slight steps here and there. Only assembled Nertha, the Faceless Mother. Right leg was bent and did not align perfectly. A piece of cloth from her left shoulder broke off.
Her "crown" has some tiny miscast as well, destroying the upmost top part of it.

Building was okay, bus my glue does not seem to like the resin (or the other way around) I'm used to get the parts stuck a lot quicker.

Nevertheless, it's nice to FINALLY have something in my hands.

On the 15 free freebies.

Some of the freebies I just got are TIIIIIIINNNNNYYYYY (the mascots) and honestly, are no way near worth 15$...

Looking forward to tomorrow

I stored my first wave models away so i cannot go and check model quality, but i do remember i was quite pleased with them.

I do not remember any form of miscast or breakage, there was some "bending", but nothing a bit of steam could not correct easily.

Did not try assembling them yet. And would like to see the "squad boxes" before i make any final judgment on Quality.

Lol, 10? That's the freebies.
You need Lieutenant level to get the 1 free mini from backing TGG1. Lieutenant level = 50 minis or something lol ($150+).

So more like a buy 100 more get 1 free coupon, you were being much too optimistic !
I could tell from your post !

So, the previous backer bonus isn't quite as underwhelming as some extra beer mats. How it pans out does depend on what's actually on offer though.

That and the freebies means you're getting $360 worth of figures for the $150/$165 LT pledge.

As for the freebies themselves, $200 for 15 figures will only break down so many ways. Especially if we're only looking at $10/$15 figures for the freebies. That gives us 10 $15 and 5 $10, so not quite enough for a mascot for all 6 factions.

I need to see what's on offere for the different factions,

but if I do hit a Lieutenant box spending level I won't say no to an extra mini

It's more than most KS companies give you for being a regular backer.....

Yup, a free mini for returning backers sounds really quite generous to me; don't see how you could be expecting more than that.

I guess I'm just crazy for thinking that, given all that...happened...during the last campaign, a $150+ buy in here is necessary to get your 'thanks'.

Still, whatever, right?

This one will live or die based on how well the miniatures look, and how much new blood can be brought in.

However wasn't that the whole point of their Freebie shipment with 14 miniatures that was sent out recently?

I'm hoping they have some good actual cast minis on this. Not sure I'll pledge if it's just renders...

Aaaah, I see, I had missed that $150+ was needed for the freebie; I can understand your grumblings better now. IIRC, the AntiMatter Games campaigns have had around $50-75 needed to get a "returning customer bonus", which is kind of a nice incentive to come back for more. Granted, I bet if they gave away too much to their old backers, it would only serve to alienate newcomers, so some kind of balance is needed there.

Miiiiiiind, $150 was the early bird level, $165 is the proper price for the pledge level.

I'm a little disappointed that they haven't been releasing more renders or art to try and build up interest in this project.

Yes, it's a bit puzzling, especially as this campaign is going to be so cluttered.

Mantic has already shown that simply adding gubbins to fantasy figures doesn't turn a medieval warrior into a space marine (unless they are skulls and... more skulls, of course).

Isn't not releasing stuff their "thing"? It'd be weird if they started now, almost as if they'd learned their lessons and made changes for the better....

I thought the point of that was fooling confirmed suckers into thinking it was safe to drop more money on another Raging Heroes campaign?

Normally I'd agree, but didn't the pre-KS Kurganova and Blood Vestal figures sell pretty well? Without some figs that looked like they belonged in a DE army I wasn't going to back, but that wrack and that incubus swayed me.

Isn't anyone putting money into the second campaign a confirmed sucker? Or is that title only unlocked once the charge goes through?

I certainly feel as though dumping money into this constitutes an unwise investment.

Remember, not everyone feels about them the way Dakka does. we are almost notorious for out lunatic raving about this company. BOLS and European forums don't even come close to how we feel and lots of people still love them So in RH opinion...they have done nothing wrong. And in that mindset, the "thanks" miniature actually makes perfect sense
