This is getting better and better!

When are you thinking of launching this campaign again?

If I'm not wrong we'll announce the Kickstarter campaign tomorrow, but it's not a relaunch.. maybe you're referring to our Rpg aren't you?

Sorry - no!

While I may not be big on super heroes, I am digging everything else I see in that pic. Power armor, werewolves, cyborgs, and gas masked Germans? Hell yes!

Barzam all you can see on the pic will be realized within the Kickstarter project. Let's say it represents our "minimum goal".

Full picture is awesome!

Definitely looking forward to the campaign. In fact, I'm gonna go ahead and lower my Deadzone 2 pledge to save back some funds.

Hopefully we can see more concepts and sculpts in the run up to the campaign.

Pay no attention to Barzam the Hero Hater - after all, if he doesn't like them, he doesn't have to use them!

The rest of us are eagerly awaiting our WWII era superhero miniature combat miniatures and rules!

Well, if you want to give me a Kamen Rider style Japanese hero, I'd have to use him.

Here's another 3D model we received from the sculptor. It needs some modifications and improvements (position of the neck for example) but it's anyway 90% final.
The model will come with a top for the round base which depicts the Meta-Human's powers: as you can see on a post before, the Yashamaru concept has a water wave shaped like a dragon head on his back, since his powers are related to water.
Brunhild will have a bunch of debris and ruins to represent her super strenght

Looks good - getting more and more excited for this one with each new preview!

Hello!

My colleague Wolfbane will be busy in the next days, supervising the production of the first miniatures. But don't worry, I'll continue to provide updates on War of Wonders and the upcoming Kickstarter campaign. Among our stretch goals: English troops, German Poltergeists and Japanese Kamis

Automatically Appended Next Post:
What about some personal mechanical armor suit? This is Steelbullet, and he's one of the pilots of these US wonders: Steel Armors. They've been designed by genius Howard Hughes and they use the innovative engine created by scientist Nikola Tesla, which makes use of Earth's magnetic field to generate propelling power.

We're going to have two Steel Armors like these as stretch goals in our incoming Kickstarter campaign.

Only the best Luftwaffe pilots can aspire to become Poltergeists!

Rocket Gliders will zoom through War of Wonders skyes and bomb poor Allied soldiers

I am really digging the look and idea of this campaign! Looking forward to it hitting.

Brunhilde the render is a little disappointing though. She doesn't have the same flow as the artwork, I think due to the rather blocky breast plates (salad bowls?) Instead of flowing with the rest of the shape they sort of just look stuck on.

The steel suits look cool, but I wonder where the arms and legs of the human go? The legs might work, but seem really wide spread. The arms though, wouldn't he need like 3' shoulders for that to work? Or are they supposed to be inside the chest armor?

I agree with you on Brunhilde - but luckily it says "NOT FINAL" and hopefully that means they'll be doing some more work on her it make the mini a closer match to the artwork.

Yea, that's why I opened my mouth at all; I have all but given up critiquing designs on most models for KS otherwise. It never ends well.

Usually in the direct, accusatory tone, but yes, something very similar.

She is fairly certain I am going to give myself a heart attack, leaving her to live her ageless life alone. Though now that we have a kid, she doesn't seem to worry about that as much...

Hello all! I'm back after a busy week and a 2 days gaming convention where we showed WoW MG for the first time
Just to tell you that we have here the pre-production miniatures! Here you can see some samples of the two superheroes! Enjoy :
Brunhild

Brunhild heads details

Brunhild base (the top of the 25mm plastic base)

The Flag

We're discussing about a custom base top for The Flag too, I'm uncertain about that, what do you think?

Also I owe a little explanation to Wehrkind about the different armor of Brunhild : the art is not the concept which was sent to the sculptor as reference, you can see the concept here: http://files.war-of-wonders-miniature-game.webnode.it/200000020-e2f52e3eef/BRUNHILDEBLOG.jpg. Miniature concepts often differs from illustrations, since they must enhance some details (the breast plates) and omit some others. The art is based more on the artist's fantasy, so much more related with comics.
As you can see, the 3D model was... truly not final comparing to the metal casting , we're thinking of not publishing other 3D renders from now on, since they appear really too different from the final model.
Talking about the steel suit, again, this is only an art and not the concept: My idea was to create something like Ironmonger suit (if you've seen the first Iron Man movie you know what I'm talking about) so the man inside should be in a cockpit inside the chest of the machine. In the colored figure the head is maybe too big, so it appears as a real "suit". By the way this is only one of three different kinds of steel suits

It's all for now, I hope you like the figures as I did

Wow, I had no idea there was that much of a difference between the Wargames Factory WWII figures and the Bolt Action ones. I guess I know which company I'll be using to build my "regular" Germans with.
