For me, it was a battle of BA and Ultramarines working together VS Tyranids. The Tyranids won, as my space marines were being pulverized but the nids.

What about you?

For me it was a SM/CSM vs DE/E.


BUT! It wasn't the Eldar that won, it was the Space Marines and Chaos Marines.

We wiped the floor with them by T4, didn't lose a single unit.

how can SM and CSM work together?

And DE and Eldar?

That makes no sense.

OK...

TAC Elysians/GK versus an Ork army that deployed only a full Stompa, a full Battlewaggon, and a Mek Gunz unit. I scooped turn two after my Deep Striking Vortex Librarian killed himself without touching the Stompa and my entire army's firepower killed three grots.

Hh dg vs orks 1500 well I lost three models he lost 85 and was tabled. I felt awful at the end it seemed as the big green foot of mork had done a mutiny.

GK-Alpha strike vs Nids.

It really smarts loosing about 50% of your army to the mishap table....

Marines with a (traitor, as it turned out) knight paladin vs eldar.
The paladin took umbrage with the captain ordering him about and promptly shot him and his bodyguard with his battle cannon.
When the fire dragons took him out, he staggered towards the last remaing bodyguard and atomised him in a cataclysmic explosion.
Dark reapers mopped up the rest as the farseer chuckled to himself.
7-1 loss for my marines

I once beat IG 14-1 on Kill Points with my Mech/Pod Ultra/BA combo, in mid 6th ed. That one point was from killing my Warlord... Who had a 2++... With a Meltagun... On overwatch... With the 2nd-to-last guy in the squad...

The score says one thing, but I think that one shot won the game, at least morally!

Going the other way, I've had a few very bad pastings from Nids over the years. They are something of a cursed army for me, and I think the only army I have a negative W/L ratio against.

Eldar and Grey Knights against Tau. I killed every model in his army by turn 3 and lost 2 Fire Dragons and 1 Terminator.

Or how about this, Eldar and Grey Knights vs Nids. I tabled him and lost 1 wound on the Dreadknight due to Peril of the Warp.

1000pts (might have been 1250, I forget) of Tyranids vs Ultramarines. Tyranids had a Flyrant, a Walking Tyrant with Heavy Venom, two Dakkafex and a decent number of small things. Ultramarines were more Infantry than anything else. Devestators with Missiles, Tyrannic War Vets, some plasma guns, no bikes, no tanks. Heavy Venom Cannon killed three Devestators first turn and nearly everything else tried to kill the Flyrant. Tyranids tabled the Marines, Marines dealt a total of six wounds the entire match.

i played Ordo Reductor vs GK
Two storm ravens carrying 5 termies in one and 5 'normal' guys in the other with another 5 'normal' guys with a librarian on the board.
I had a mastercrafted photon thruster toting archmagos reductor and two squads of six thallax with 2 phased plasma fusuls each and the icarian upgade which gave them skyfire.
we played three games - two times my thallax shot down his flyers when they got in range killing nearly all the termies and wiping out the 'normal' guys; the archmagos took shots across the board at his footsloggers, taking out one a turn and blinding them
one time his guys in the flyers did get into assault with my thallax due to horrible shooting rolls (lots of 1's and 2's) and minced them before they got to strike back with instant death force weapons.
It felt like with those army lists at least, the only way he was winning was occasional terrible luck on my part.

Wow...these battles you describe seem pretty one sided.

5th edition Tzeentch Daemons vs. Grey Knights...

I didn't even get to put a single model on the table due to how OP Warp Quake shenanigans were.

Sounds like that battle was won before it even started.

One of my games back in 5th involved Blade Storming Dire Avengers with Guide and Fortune and rolling ludicrous numbers of ones. My opponent and I got a rather good laugh out just how consistently bad the rolls were. I think I only managed to kill three or four infantry the entire game.

Last deamon dex mixed deamon vs grey knights i get first turn and kill all but 4 grey knights with dsing flamers my best win and his worst loss. But a good laugh as he'd tailored against deamons.

The first battle I played in fifth edition with the oldcron codex against Tyranids. I got stomped so hard, it wasn't even funny, and I even was fielding the Nightbringer. The first time I had ever phased out

My last battle...

My ork green tide list vs. Nurgle chaos daemonzilla.

My list was bad, but it's what I have the models for. Basically, I brought an all-'eavy armor green tide of 100 boyz with a big bosspole warboss. My army was unbound, as I also brought a big mek with da lucky stikk, a painboy and 3 units of 5 lootas each.

My opponent brought 2 great unclean ones with mastery level 3, 2 units of plaguebearers and 3 mastery level 3 nurgel daemon princes.

When rolling for psychic powers he rolled on Biomancy, which gave him iron arm and enfeeble plenty of times. Basically, my green tide was in combat with one (just one!) of his DPs all game, but I didn't even get to roll any dice because he stacked enfeeble on my unit and got iron arm off on his DP every turn. He then just got maelstrom points and killed my loota units to win.

I think the final score was 33-2 in his favor.

THe most recent I can remember.

IG Blob (with a Deathstrike, Vanquisher and executioner the black one)+ IG Armored Battlegroup (Me, with 2 Annihilators, 2 Exterminators, 2 Executioners, and 1 Punisher and 1 Demolisher in outflank due to my warlord trait), Vs. Chaos (2 hell brutes, 1 large squad of devastators with LC, at least 3 or 4 Cultist squads, 2 melee hellbrutes, and 1 Chaos lord with 24 plague marines, or at least that's what I remember) + Eldar.



One of my executioners wiped out 20 of the 24 plague marines in a single round of plasma fueled fire and plenty of failed saves on the other guys end. One of the Helbrutes is immediately poped from a lascannon and the Eldar Farseer is headshoted from my Annihilator the Twinblade at maximum range.

It continued on to the point the ENTIRE Chaos force was removed from the board (95% were removed by my tanks firepower. the Devestators or Havocs or whatever they are called were mostly killed by my ally) leaving only the Eldar with a few remaining units. He attempted to secure the objectives with deepstriking units (I can't recall for the life of me what they are called. But it involved the one that can drop in with templates everywhere with it) and he got onto 2 objectives. Unfortunately (for them) the firepower of my Tanks and the other IG player removed them from the objectives.



I lost no tanks and the only damage done to me was to my Executioners own Gets Hot rule (which is frankly stupid rule on a tank, especially its main gun but that is a rant for another time). my ally lost some infantry and a tank mostly from some phoenix lords, but they were shot to pieces like the rest after they attacked.

it was a landslide victory with Chaos tabled and the Eldar force in shambles. by about turn 3 or 4.

I had a small 1000 point game of foot Orks, vs Space Marines and three Thunder fire cannons back in 6th edition.

I learned to love and hate the TFC that day....

My fourth or fifth game I played, the guy did a full wraith spam list, with invisibility up on his wraithknight. I didn't even know thing one about Eldar, and was still having trouble learning the rules. Even with that list versus my space marines, he still cheated me, telling me that a 1 on a gets hot roll destroys the gun. So, yeah, fun guy.

1500 pts. SM (Ultramarines chapter tactics) w/ Knight Errant vs. AM.

I forget the specific mission, but I know it was an Eternal War mission. It didn't matter in the end unfortunately.

I was able to get the Knight Titan into his left flank on turn 2 along with two Stormtalons arrive and hit him on the right flank. Ran a Landraider with Sterguard and two Razorbacks with Tactical squads up the center as fast as I could. Threat overload set in and the battle ended up being a total one sided massicre - ended turn 4. I felt so bad I started appologizing.

2 games I can recall. 1 apoc, 1 tournament.
Apoc, my guard V Tyranids. He brought so many Gargantuan MCs to the game that I couldn't deal with them - and their speed! I only got in one turn of shooting before they got across the field and were eating my big guns.

Tournament, team matches. CSM & Tyranids vs (something else). Lash Princes and Defilers, and 3x3 Biovores were no fun to play against(and I say this as the guy using them) - Lash to clump up the enemy units, then the Large Blasts to remove them.

1250 Thousand Sons vs 'Nids friendly.

Final count was a tabling of the 'Nids (including a flyrant and a harpy) for the loss of a single Thousand Son model. Most memorable moment was a combi melta snap shotting a flyrant, grounding him and then finishing it off on the charge.

2k Beardy tournament of Beardiness, 4 Imperial knights & stormwing vs BA

BA tabled for the loss of a single hull point on 1 of the knights. Most memorable moment was when my opponent put both his 'Talon and 'Raven into hover and my IK warlord tanked everything without a scratch and responded by battle cannoning the 'Talon out of the sky and then cut the 'Raven in half in the same round on a 10" charge. Not often a knight gets 2 flier kills in a game, let alone 1 round.

I massacred a Traitor guard (IA13) army with my Death Korps last Thursday.

He had two blobs, a Vanquisher, Hellhound and 2 veteran units + hq in chimeras. Bloody cheap all these guys.
I had two colossus bombard, a Hellhound, two Leman Russ Conquerors and 18 Death riders in 3 units + a Hades.
Formed up my force in some sort of a battering ram with and ran it straight into his army, then rolled it up from right to left. It was a bloody and very effective affair and by turn four it was all over. His units couldn't cope with the av14 wall and the speed of my force. In the end I lost seven death riders (no full unit) and three engineers. He lost his entire force.

Funny thing is, my DKoK army was completely torn to shreds by Tyranids the week before. Three turns of shooting against a flyrant without a result, Warlord and Executioner dead before I could take my first turn....tabled by turn five.

A game with pure deathwing termies vs white scars, I unloaded into his bikes and wiped them out before they did any damage, he was damn near tabled turn 3 and I had not taken a single unsaved wound or glancing/penetrating hit on my land raiders.

1500pts my drop pod space wolves vs DE, I lost everything, and he lost one wych. I just couldn't find a way through that jink, or roll a successful armour save
