I for one am ecstatic. With the 5 Knights from the "new" codex plus the 4 Forgeworld variants makes a dedicated knight army rather interesting. I wonder if the Gallant will be cheaper than 375pts.

We'll if GW really wanted to sell IKs... Eldar's change to the WK and its 1/5th chance to single shot an IK with no saves in any turn is foolish... Wraithknights are even more effective against IKs than everything else...

Can't find info anywhere!

you cant find the rules becasue they are ONLY available in that "exclusive" web bundle. hahah WOW.. even i call foul on this.

But agian releasing knights agian is an obvious money grab. I had hoped they would at least expand it to have chaos knights and various other factions "knight sized" units or something.

well, until ONE guy buys it and it gets posted up everywhere

I wonder how many people are out there who'd buy this. There are a lot of people who've spent $1000 on this hobby, but there should by quite few who'd spend that much on impulse buying.

I bought the web exclusive bundle, got to do something with this deployment money.

I brought four more knights, but from a discounter, no way I'd buy them direct at full price even if they come with an exclusive datasheet.

I'm planning on hacking the legs to adjust the pose and they'll be converted to Khorne like the rest of my household for more variety in the looks department.

Given that you're going to have to pay normal points for 5 named character knights, you're not going to be fielding this under 2k anyway I'd imagine, unless all knights are significantly cheaper than before. I'll grant you that apoc will still care, but then it's apoc, 4x BS/WS 5 knights and a BS/WS6 knight aren't horrendously overpowered there.

If you are playing over 2k, then you've probably got more than enough AV to kill 30 HP of AV13/12/12 over the coarse of a game or you'd lose to most things I'd wager.

Yes, it's a crappy idea that they've got a limited formation exclusive, but we all need to calm down and realise that virtually no-one will be taking this anyway (bar apoc, where everything is broken, so it's OK) due to points limits.

It's not the point though, it's just a bad precedent to set, having exclusive rules.

Me and my mates use the old apocalypse d-weapon rules - it starts to make a bit more sense then.

S6 AP3 heavy 12 rending? Doesn't that more or less remove the desire to use the Castigator?

Plus the Castigator is a better looking and easier to assemble model.

The only tihng it is missing now, is the option for the carapace mounted weapons.

So, did anyone else notice that, right now, on a model per model basis, it is cheaper to purchase the GW-sized FW variants (The Questoris Knight Magaera and The Questoris Knight Styrix) in the US than it is to buy the original through their sites? The GW US site shows the two original models at $180, while the FW site says 110 pounds. Using their rules (Convert into your own standard currency to find actual prices), with the current conversion rate being 1:1.57, the FW variants are currently $174.22.

This makes the FW variants nearly $46 cheaper than the newly released kits, while being only marginally cheaper than the old ones. Still, certainly interesting, wouldn't you all think?

Edit: Or am I mistaken, and simply seeing ghosts?

16 months.

it's short but given how many people noted the 'dex was a "2 pages of rules" codex. GW has at least addressed that.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Well it's like 4 pages of rules now so count yourself lucky they didn't charge you double!
