I am getting ready to start buying parts for a custom Minotaurs Chapter, they are known for their Close Combat and Shock Assault troops. Any Ideas which Space Marine faction wins for both of these types of combat.

Blood Angels would be my guess, but my best friend already plays Pure Blood Angels, I don't want to step on any feet. He was running an Assault Marine list until they nerphed him by making them NOT troops. :(

What other ideas do people have for running a Minotaurs army.

Close Combat? I would say Black Templars, since their chapter tactics gives them some buffs for close combat

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Well, you could always use the Minotaurs rules...

I would second Black Templars. Seem like a better fit than Blood Angels to me. Though, black templars are not doing too hot.

Honesty, you could also go with Imperial Fists. Just now things down under a rain of bolter fire, but if you want CC and not Blood Angels, Black Templars would be my go to. Maybe Iron Hands for durable CC guys.

Yeah, considering Minotaurs have rules and Characters, I would suggest using those. Otherwise it's like using Iron Hands Tactics for my Salamanders. Sure, it's allowed but it's silly to do so.
