Awake bright and early thanks to my kid, so I may as well go ahead and post up my Killadelphia experience over the weekend. In summary, it was an awesome GT and ran extremely smooth. I was lucky enough to have a room right down the hall from the tournament hall.
Having been burned out on the current Tyranid lists (4/5 Tyrants, mawlocs, lictors, mucolids in varying ratios) I took one I would have fun with.

Flyrant w/Devs and electro
Flyrant w/Devs and electro

Malanthrope

Tervigon wElectro
30 Gants

Mawloc

Leviathan:
Flyrant w/Devs and electro
Flyrant w/Electro, Reaper of Obliterax, Adrenal Glands, Old Aversary, Ymgarl Factor
Tervigon w/Electro
Mucolid
Mucolid
Mucolid

Some of the armies present. I meant to get more pictures when they did the paint judging but I forgot in my insobriety.
Spoiler:

For the most part, I didnt keep track of my Maelstrom points well enough to list them.

Round 1 VS Iron Warriors

I knew this matchup was slanted in my favor, but fortunately it was against a friend I met at Mechanicon last year. He brought a fun list with no answer to Skyfire.

Taking turn 1, I popped two tanks with my flyrants in their first push and it went downhill from there.

My melee Flyrant assaulted the first landraider, despite being strength 9 I only deal 1 wound. Next round he is assaulted by a ten man, and kills them all. My flyrants make the rounds, electroshocking the landraiders. Both of them would end up being
assaulted and destroyed by the Melee Tyrant, who rolls much better the second and third time. I end up scoring all the objectives, but tabling him as well for a 20-0 spread.

Round 2 vs Krootman's Eldar

I am next matched up with Krootman, who fielded 3 WKs, 3 Wave Serpents, 2 bike seers, Hornets and Dire Avengers in a Kill point mission, so I'm not too excited about my chances. I go turn 1 and put three wounds on a WK with my shooting. I get some points from
Maelstrom, but theres not a lot of killing to be done. In the end, my Melee tyrant kills a WK, my Flyrants torch a WK and its DA cargo, and I kill my secondary Marked for Death Hornet squad. I lose both Tervigons, two gant squads, Malanthope, melee tyrant and mawloc.
My three Flyrants spend the game flying a clockwise circle, trying to keep pace with the Eldar. Kroot takes it 18-2.

Round 3 vs Mike's Drop pod Blood Angels/Nemesis

I dont drink often, and certainly not to the quantity and degree I did by game 3, so I'm not sure I played my best this round but fortunately Mike's a good guy and I had a good time losing to him. I had some bad rolls on cleansing flame and we ran out of time on turn 4. Had I gotten my turn 5 I would have scored two more objectives for a much better score, but unfortunately it didnt happen and I got left with a huge spread. (19-1 I believe)

Round 4 vs Tau Firebase

A familiar list, 2 Riptides, Farsight w/suits, 2x Skyrays, crisis troops, missile sides/drones, railsides/drones. Not one every bug player likes to see, but I'm actually really proud of how I played this one.

Turn 1 I push up to the left and unload on the Missile Sides that I marked for death as a secondary. All but one dies, my melee tyrant pushes straight up the middle into ruins. I lose my Warlord to return fire, but I am able to circle with my remaining flyrants and vector strike
the last Missileside and kill off a Skyray. Melee tyrant makes his charge turn 2, and proceeds to slaughter the railside unit in its entirety. He'll be gunned down next turn. Meanwhile my Tervigons produce poorly (The one game I needed them to) and I move up to hold as many
objectives as I can. My last turn of shooting is unable to push Farsight off of his objective. We would tie on Primary but he had his secondaries pull the lead for a 12-8 spread.

Round 5 vs Skiitari /SM allies

My opponent was my first encounter on the board with the new army, he fielded three of the Onager crawlers in a squadron with the S10 AP1 small blast upgrade as well as a 4+ invul. A FW tank, Stormtalon, 2x skimmer, Thunderfire, Biker squad (I marked that for death) and drop pod with melta comprised
his SM allies. In a KP mission, I had some tough targets but none that were unkillable. He scouted his Onagers up, and then I seized the initiative. My Superbeast Tyrant immediately makes a B-line for the Onager squadron and would make his charge. Trying to kill his Warlord and get two KP in the process, I unload on the biker unit and actually deal 3 wounds to the Chapter master himself. The unit would die second turn. I bubbled wrap my tervigon with the 30 man gants and am happy to have his drop pod come in way off course.

That combat lasts 3 turns with all three Onagers being destroyed, but unfortunately it ends on my turn and he would be killed by his entire army focus firing on it, losing his last wound to his last unit's shooting. : / My gants and Tervigon tarpit the 10 man SM unit, slowly but surely killing them
off. My Warlord and mawloc take out the tank and Thunderfire and park on objectives. I am unable to table him, but I get 14 KP to his 3 in addition to scoring most of my secondaries and a ton of Maelstrom. Unfortunately for me, the spread is capped at 20-0.

What, you lost to krootman?!? I was hoping you'd beat him and avenge my loss to his exact same army at the LVO.

Looking forwards to the rest of your experiences.

hahaha Bill Zousa got me with a list very close to yours, I had a 18-2 win turn 5, a 16-4 win turn 6, and of course it ended on 7 resulting in a 11-9 loss for me, but it was one of the best games I have played in a while and bill is a great guy!

Zach, it was a pleasure meeting you and playing you as well. Props for taking an out of the box list to the event, and that combat flyrant ended up being pretty solid!

Cool looking bug army! I also played the opponents you faced in round 1 and round 5, very fun players with interesting lists.

How did you find the tervigons did? Did you ever wish you had deep-striking ob sec rippers instead or more mawlocs/lictors/crones?

Actually, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed having them. They did great, even when they exploded. They reproduced well for the most part and their ability to move + spawn plus gaunts running actually got me to the objectives I needed pretty quickly.

The only thing I think I might want to change out is the Mawloc for three Biovores, and thats only because of the need to take down Necron Warrior blobs. I really like this list as a TAC, I just wish I was a better player!

My last game was against John, running AM with Champs of Fenris allies.

Company Command Squad, officer, melta bombs, melta guns, astropath
Ministorum Priests
Primaris Psyker, level 2, force ax

Infantry platoon (30) w/ various meltas, sarges/poweraxes
Vet Squad
Vet Squad
5x rough riders
5x rough riders

Wolf Priest w/runic armor
Wolf Lord, thunder wolf, runic armor, storm shield, thunder hammer, fellclaws teeth
Wolf Lord, thunder wolf, runic armor, powerfist, wolf claw

2x Servitors
2x 15 Fenrisian wolves, cyber wolf

This mission gives extra KP to fast attacks, so I mark his Wolf lord squad on the right for death. He scouts and pushes up his blob of death. While his orders all go off, my Malanthrope survives his shooting, and any wounds lost would later be regenerated.

I pull my Tervigons back to brace for the coming tidal wave. My left 30 man Gants fire but fail their charge at the incoming Wolf unit. My Tyrants wittle down the Marked wolf unit, and Superbeast makes his charge. He would remain locked, killing off most of the unit but the Lord survives.

His blob multicharges, making it to Superbeast and two gant squads. My tervigons keep producing and start putting up walls of gants to bubble wrap themselves. My Flyrants fly left, taking out a rough rider squad for an easy KP and whittling down his backfield defenders.

Many rounds of combat result in a lot of dead gants and guardsmen. The Wolf Lord keeps getting tarpitted. An exploding Tervigon would remove most of the gants, but in the meantime my Tyrants are in the backfield removing all objective holders and positioning themselves to control the both 3 point objectives and a 2 point one.

My still producing Tervigon wraps the Wolf Lord in with her spawn, preventing him from disengaging to go after my Mawloc. Desperate measures . The other Lord goes after her, but she would hit and run to reinforce the nearby hold on the objectives.

I would take it 12-8, feeling kinda pleased with how I handled the game. And with that, I was finally done with Killadelphia.

That looked like a fun game. Tervigons are so useful, but you mentioned hit and run on one of them? Was that a tournament special rule or something?

Sorry, written poorly but 'her' was referring to the mawloc being assaulted by the wolf lord.

Dude he was pretty laid back, and we were both ready to be done (6 games in a weekend is exhausting).

Ill see you there then, thats my next GT. I'm using the same army, only 3 biovores replacing the Mawloc. (Unless GW puts out a Tyranid codex before hand)
