So we all see some pretty crazy conversions, and all love a good laugh - I think one of the keys to really enjoying this grim-dark hobby is to not take it too seriously all of the time.

The tongue-in-cheek approach has seen some really great conversions come about such as the winged land raider, sporting Dante fiercely slamming an electric Guitar, A Noise Marine army themed in 80's hair metal styling complete with roadies and well known bands of that era, and everyone's favorite Angry Marines.

Unfortunately, we also know that bringing our stupid ideas to live would also cost a hell of a lot of money in kits, green stuff and time - So I thought now would be a great time for everyone to share that bat-drok insane ideas for the enjoyment of everyone on the board. And who knows, maybe it it will inspire someone to bring that idea to life.

For me, when I think of knights, I think of jousting.
With that in mind, I was looking at the Land raider I am currently putting together and thought, Damn - it would be awesome to model an Imperial Knight standing on a land raider, using a chain tied to the hull as reigns, while brandishing a nice big lance, or over-sized chainsword. Appropriately, the hand holding the chain would also be flipping the bird to the enemy.

Abaddon himself would pack it in at the sight of that rumbling towards him.

So... what are your stupid ideas that you are likely to never waste time with?

I'd like to do a warlord hanging off a skyscraper, vaporising a chaos warhound or tyranid hierophant under it, in homage to some of the old tony hough AT era art.

What I want to see is a 40k scale Ordinatus... Two Baneblade hulls, Cities of Death building kits, and a GIGANTIC weapon... I just cannot afford the parts for such a project.

You say that I am crazy. I say that you are right!

Ok, I thought of a couple of things. First is a diorama I'd call road rage which is incidentally fitting for the current modeling comtest.
A Blood Angels rhino has rammed some xenos vehicle, maybe an ork truk although it can be almost anything. The driver's hatch is open with dead aliens scattered around with bloody bolter wounds. The BA driver is crouched over the last alien pummeling him with the butt of his boltgun.
The second idea is an Imperial Guard army made up of Catachan models with beards and red hair. It's the emperor's first attempt at a super human army, Chuck Norris clones. I'm definitely doing a couple of officers that way, Colonel Braddock and Captain Walker

For the Emperor! Kill Maim Burn!... I mean purge the unclean!

I would just like to see models sculpted that can actually work.

Most Space Marines, for instance... They cannot raise their elbows more than a few inches, and if they tried to raise their arms even with their shoulders they would crush their skulls with their carapace.

Or, other models should severe anatomical deformities in how the SM fits into their armor (especially the Primarch models).

It would be nice to see an appreciation of ergonomics and cybernetics applied to design (and design applied to ergonomics and cybernetics). Which is a real irony that it is not considering the Systems Nature of Cybernetics as a discipline.

Inspired by the various "Look at my book!" Commissars..
Commissar Ramsay is stood in his chef-white uniform, on a counter top in a make-shift jungle kitchen, holding aloft his cookbook and spoon. Several irate looking guardsmen are slaving away on various counters, preparing parts of the meal.
Some of the counters have their doors cracked open, including one that makes use of the crapping grot miniature, but instead of gaking in a helmet, he's adding to a saucepan.

While reasonably simple (for someone with more skills then I) I’d like to see an assault marine/VV with a power spear in a two handed, pose, point down. He’s at the end of his jump, and about to impale some poor slob. Bonus points for actually doing it after the point of contact, and using the spear stuck through his chest as the support for the flying marine.

These two suggestions could be combined by building an Ork Battlewagon with a Goff Rocka on top of the cab. Put some kind of scratchbuilt speakers around the model and, well, anyone who has seen the new Mad Max would get the idea!
