Hey,

Came across this the other day and thought I'd share. Wargames Factory are having a memorial day sale, with 20%-50% off on most of their products. While I can't vouch for the quality of most of the minis, I've liked the few horse sprues I picked up last year. With a 50% discount though, it is cheap!

Oh wow, I just bought a box of WSS Cavalry just to use 1/4th of the torso bits. Had I waited for the sale, I could have gotten them at $1 per torso, which is roughly what just buying similar bits elsewhere costs.

I ordered an entire Samurai army to use as Nippon for Old Hammer. A very good bargain and reasonable shipping.

Nice! Woodland Indians at 40% off, yes please!

I also picked up WAY too many horses. At 12 horses for $6, why not? Never know when you might need a herd of horses.

You'll be happy with the survivors. The proportions are really nice and the detail is great.

That said, the models aren't terribly modular (which is fine, really. I'm leaning more and more towards models assembled as sculpted), but there is a problem with what I call 'mom hair'. The models are very apocalyptic as opposed to POST apocalyptic.

I strongly recommend some Brother Vinni head swaps. Check out Female Punk Heads and PostApoc Female Heads. They look great on the WGF models and go a long way towards TNTing up the models.

I also think that the Riot Girls from Aetherium make nice TNT models, and they scale really well with the WGF models.

They had some at a show they were at a while back.

In regards to their survivors and other sets, aye they aren't that modular. However I mostly use their models as armatures, mix and match the sets and just cut and greenstuff in any of the gaps. That said their latest female survivors set has a real issue with their poses. Their soldiers are fine, but the poses on those women are all action ones. In other words their legs are splayed out. Not an issue for most I'd imagine, but if you don't want thirty models all man spreading then you're going to run into issues.

I'm curious about something: does WGF need Dreamforge's approval to run a sale like this? They're certainly in a very advantageous position when compared to any other retail outlet that would stock Dreamforge's product.

I doubt they need approval, but anything to turn some inventory. They probably do ask Marc though, and he is probably more than happy that his product is getting out there.
