For me the coolest thing was a mawloc charged my guardsman platoon. They failed their fear test, from the fear USR. They struck first as it charged through terrain.

They actually killed it! Rolled a bunch of 6's to wound and the mawloc failed enough 3+ saves.

I saved that platoon and am painting veteran stripes on them.

What about you guys?

A squad of veterans killed 3 out of 5 Sanguinary guards with overwatch Lasgun fire.

Back in 3rd edition, my opponent deep struck a Grey Knight Grandmaster and retinue in my backfield. I ended up shooting every bit of AP2 just to clear the retinue, and the Grandmaster was still standing proud. I picked my last unit with LOS, a las/plas squad, and watching the plasma gun overheat, the lascannon miss, and four lasgun shots hit. All four wounded on 5s, and my opponent rolled three "ones."

Just like that, 400 points of his army was dead on the bottom of turn two, and some of my boys got an extra grog ration for marksmanship.

2 guardsman remaining of a unit, a grey hunter charges them and wiffs. Guardsmen beat the heck out of the marine.

16 Guardsmen with lasguns 2 guardsmen with grenade launchers and 2 sargents w/ laspistols, shoot a Khorne Bloodthirster to death with 1st rank 2nd rank Fire, it was at long range.

The despoiler himself chewed through half a full strength platoon on to get mobbed and punked by power sergeants.

I've seen guardsmen kill just ridiculous things, it's always one of those moments where my opponent and I just have to stand there in disbelief of what just occurred.

I don't play IG so my Guardsmen are non-existent. However, I did run CSM against IG. A lone Guardsmen went head to chest with Kharn and took him down.

Well, last Monday my 1.5K army took on and defeated (as in tabled) a 2869 point SM army on their own.

But the coolest thing? I am not sure. there was this one time though when the Sargent of a regular squad accepted a challenge from a Sangunairy Guard Sargent and killed him.

2 squads of vets once killed a Trygon that had just popped up at the front line of my deployment zone. I must say it was a great day that lead to a crushing victory!

Back in 3rd or 4th I had a catachan demo squad ambush a hive tyrant and its 2 guard. 2 or 3 demo charges wiffed, then I charged and killed all 3 with that squad. They got smiley faces painted on their triceps in camo paint as a reward.

Bunch of my boys shanked a Nurgle Sorceror on bike along with his retinue.

(I think this was back in 6th or so). A Chaos lord that had survived repeated fire from a trio of Leman Russ Battle tanks (taking a few wounds) was gunned down in overwatch by a bare bones squad of guardsmen.

My conscripts and priest charged a haruspex and punched it to death over three turns.

I was had a regular squad of men charged by a squad of marines numbering around 7. They wiped out most of the squad except for the Sgt. Who then proceeded to kil the rest in close combat surviving turn after turn. He is now a Platoon commander but dies almost instantly in every game since...

Had a lone grenade launcher guardsman kill a Canifex in close combat. By far the best thing that they've ever done.

On vassal, 6th edition with friends, my squad of veterans ran out of a building and got behind an Eldar Fire Prism that had stopped alongside.

The grenadier fired a krak grenade that successfully hit and got a vehicle explodes result! Rolled a save on the grenadier from the explosion but the four soldiers around him died in the same.

(Plan to paint in a name on the base of one of my grenadiers 'No Eyebrows')

squad of vets smoked a dreadknight in close combat. That GK player learned real quick about melta bombs :-)

My D-Toting bloodthirster got smoked by melta bomb vets in CC. He took most of the squad with him, but the damage was done lol

My Chimera had one hp left, tank shocked a d thirster that was chewing its way across my left flank. He decides to death or glory because he has a d weapon and says "nice try though". Rolls a 1 on the destroyer chart and suddenly his full wound blood thirster is a red smear on my tank treads. It now has that painted on to it. This chimera has also taken down riptides and hive tyrants. Unfortunately he will never now know the feeling of smashing a wraithknight apart from full wounds to paste.

4th or early 5th. I was playing IG at a tournament and met Necrons in one of my games.

His Lord managed to charge my ill-placed CCS but both of us failed to cause any unsaved wounds on the other, if it wasn't for my glorious Regimental Standard (+1 to combat resolution). My opponent fails leadership and I win at initiative. We came to the conclusion that Necrons could not understand the "arcane technology" behind fabrics

Necron Lord: "STATEMENT: RESISTANCE IS FUTILE. FORM A LINE FOR QUICKER EXTERMINATION"

Guardsman #1 - "Our weapons are useless!"

Company Commander - "Use everything, anything!"

Necron Lord - "QUERY: WHAT IS THAT FLOWING MATERIAL DISPLAYING YOUR WIN/LOSS RATIO? IT'S MECHANISM CANNOT BE CORRUPTED"

Guardsman #2 - "Wait, I got this" *Strangles the Necron lord with the Standard

Necron Lord - "SYNTAX ERROR: EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN INITIATED"

In the last 'Ard boyz tournament a few years ago, either the end of 5th or very start of 6th, I don't remember, my friend was running a Grey Knights power cheese list.

He disembarked and moved Draigo up to charge next turn. He died to on round of fire from a single Chimera. The odds are highly improbable, I made sure he was right and not gone crazy.

He went on to be smashed and conceded the rest of his games I think. He was depressed for the rest of the day.

Quite a feat for a chimera, though.

Sanguinary guards are weak sauce, though.

A stomper and either a hive tyrant or a Swarmlord. Those 2 were my biggest kills but they were made by Grenadiers and a Commissar-General

As for guardsmen themselves, gotta be a Dreadknight

Loved it when a solitary Death Rider charged a flyrant and killed it on the charge. Since they struck each other at the same ini they died in each others arms as the flyrant managed to kill the rider easily.

I had Marbo kill himself before.

I had my Master of Ordnance kill my command squad.
