So I let curiosity get the best of me and put an order in for a Crossfire rule book. Seems like it might capture fire and maneuver rather well. It appears to be heavily dependent on terrain which is fine because I have plenty of it.
Does anyone have any experience with it?

I played it a few times a long time ago. It's an unusual system, and takes some getting used to. I remember we felt that a lot of the combat ended up at ridiculously short range, and some units were able to move extraordinarily long distances. I think we also felt that it favoured the Germans a bit. But my memory may be faulty.

Wonderful game... played it lots. Nothing recreates infantry combat quite like Crossfire. The supplement was excellent to. Spent many hours gaming it.
Big issue though is the armour rules are pretty much broke.

Thanks guys. We're gonna try it out for a bit to see if it can challenge my skepticism.

Yes, to clarify, my comments were focused more on the armour rules - I think the infantry rules worked well.

Finally got his little gem in the mail...
Sure does make you appreciate the production value of books like Bolt Action and Battlegroup haha.
I'm gonna give it a test run this weekend and hopefully use it as motivation to get moving on the winter table for Battlegroup WaR.

I really can't stand that guy, his vids about D&D are truly atrocious (seriously some of the dumbest bs I have ever had the displeasure of hearing). But I would like to hear more about your experience with Crossfire.

Why do you think that way? I thought they were pretty on point to be honest.
