Ahehehem *cough* so hi... no no no..

Hello random people, I have just begun assembling my first army in a long time, and decided to record its progress (oh god why) and would really rather like feedback and criticism.

Now if you do decide for whatever reason to follow this thread then be warned:

First, I am lazy so please don't expect updates everyday.
Secondly, I am not the best painter and I am also out of practice.
Thirdly, the army will be build slowly as I only have a part time job so money is a slight issue. Little money + Forge world = nope

RIGHT, now down to business.

I am creating a space marine army that specializes in desert warfare, which helps considering that their fortress is on a desert planet. Due to this they draw most of the recruits from the local inhabitants and raider villages (think Tusken Raiders from Star Wars). this has caused them to adopt a lot of the traditions of the inhabitants as well. i.e. Camouflage and fondness of the flame based weaponry . This sets them apart from most space marine chapters as most other chapters tend to be idiots and get themselves shot all the time due to bright F***ING COLOURS. But I digress.

The models that I will be using is the Forge World MK 4 armor (lots of it) and pre-heresy models because A, they look cool. And B, I want to give them a feeling of a chapter that isn't as favorably looked upon by the Adeptus Mechanicus. That means they have to do with less efficient, hand me downs, and aren't higher then scavengers, which is also looked down upon by the other chapters.

Here they have been base coated (I should buy the brown in a can)

The Army currently consists of two dreadnoughts, one tactical squad, one librarian and a tech priest. Oh yeah, and a pilot... thingy?
The next addition (I hope) will be two Sternguard squads with two heavy flamers and all of the combi-flamers. Plus a Razorback with assault cannons for extra dakka (infantry beware)

God that was terrible... what are you still reading for?

Looking forward to seeing more of your desert Marines, seeing as they made a more sensible choice of colours than my own Death Ravens (what do you mean, black and purple stand out in a desert setting? *BLAM*).

Are you planning on developing some fluff for these desert-y soldiers of the Emperor? I haven't spotted the Chapter's name yet, unless you plan on going with the 'Tusken Raiders' (which could make for some cool icon design... like two crossed tusks? )?

God that was terrible... what are you still reading for?

Because the Dark Powers are fickle creatures, who require an easy access to entertainment.

Tactical_Spam: Ezra is fighting reality right now.

War Kitten: Vanden, you just taunted the Dank Lord Ezra. Prepare for seven years of fighting reality...

War Kitten: Ezra can steal reality

Kharne the Befriender:Took him seven years but he got it wrangled down

Its not that I don't like it its just that I am un-experienced in thread writing.

Also, No I haven't named the chapter yet but that name... "Tusken Raiders".... I like it.

Fluff wize? Ill write that when I have developed it a bit more. Lets just say it has something about accidentaly blowing up an imperial titan

In this thread I might also just cover the raiders of the planet and the local PDF... but that is a maybe.

If you go with tusken raiders as a name you could add boar tusks to their helmets like a CSM temy. That would be badass

Well sorry for the wait, my life has been a sort of mess. but now there is a sort of rhythm, but now I have three jobs so progress will be slow... buuut then I might be swapping a job for a position at my local games workshop.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAny whooo, I will be probably be changing the format of this thing into a vidja blerg as I find it easier to talk than to type, and I get to dress up and do storytelling through different means. I forgot where I was while typing because netflix reasons.............. carrots.
