All the waiting for the globulous globe was worth it! What a cool effect. Always happy to see your updates. Judicar's head looks ace, really tight brush control.

Those are awesome.
Is heroclix still a thing? I loved that game back int he day. Heroclick boosters and MTG booster pack.. choosing between those was hard as a kid!

No, Cap'n. I wouldn't say things are alright. Somehow I missed March, and April was a slow, slow start. Just had a funk? I dunno. Spent some time over the weekend getting back to it. Keeping the ball rolling, as it were.

Sorry to hear that. I do know how you can miss an entire year and paint nothing.

Sincerely,

Thanks, all! I greatly appreciate all the support.

Argive, yes. Heroclix is still going. New starter just a little bit ago. Very tempted to see how the game has changed as I have not played in years. Then I reminded myself I don't really need to get back into that money sink.

Couple quick WiP pics. Judiciar is mid-varnish. More soon.

Druchii (about 50% strength) over white.

Followed by Aggaros Dunes.

Thanks for looking!

Ooh, that looks really nice! Your wash and contrast game is strong as usual youwashock! The white head looks great against the wood, will it be staying white?

Sylvadaeri looks really cool. I find Aggaros Dune one of the best colors in the Contrast range. Use it quite often for rope, tassels and blond hair. Excited to see the varnished Judiciar.

Such a cool juxtaposition of the sleek, alien helmet against the organic branches, leaves , and fungi growing on/out of the armor.

Greetings, all. Thank you for the comments.

Yes, gobert. The helm will be white with some green designs on it. Maybe a transfer.

Finished something. Palladon Grender, Judiciar of the Angels of Truth.

Was torn over whether or not to paint the eye. In the end I went for a Clint Eastwood squint. I think it works. Also, coat's looking a little sheen-y in that back pic. Annoying, but it could be the light. Nice to have this one done.

Kids painted more. Daughter's is the Stormcast, son's the Marine.

And some shots of the glue ball with some Marines for scale reference and atmosphere.

Moving along, now. Mojo returning. Have the Wraithguard in progress and a few more minis ready.

Thanks for looking!

The Wraithguard are looking absolutely fantastic already!
Good work with the Judiciar as well.

Like I've said before, your kids are naturals.

I love the last picture: the ball of glue is looking really menacing!

Edit: congrats on 50 pages! Quite a feat.

Great work finishing off the Judiciar, he’s very well done. I hadn’t noticed the helmet in hand conversion, shows how good it is I suppose! The kids stuff is cool, it’s good to see the young’uns getting involved

The head swap and addition of the servo skull really help set the Judiciar apart. I agree on the eye as well, I think it looks great and really works.

Your kids are smashing out some great work as well, that Stormcast looks better than the ones I have painted in the past.

Amazing job on the Judiciar, as was said before, the servo skull addition is great and adds lots of character to an already great mini. And cool to see your kids at work, great job from both!
And I hadn't realized how big that ball is. Very atmospheric scale shots.

Thank you, guys!

Wrapped up Wraithguard Uno. If the rest of the squad goes as quickly and as well, I will be thrilled.

And with a couple friends.

Time to build a couple more. Also paint Fett and a Limbogal. Also, I may have gotten into something silly.

Probably won't plan to paint all the models, but I am looking forward to more than a few of the X-Men figures coming in a year (or so).

Thanks again to all who have chimed in and brought the blog this far, and as always, thanks for looking!

It really looks the business, wonderfully alien yet familiar.

Love that Judiciar, and the Wraithguard looks good too. Your kids seem to be doing pretty well as far as painting skill also; guess they have a good teacher, huh?

Hello, again.

First off, many thanks for all the comments and compliments! It is greatly appreciated.

Second, it would appear that after getting back into the swing of things and finding my motivation again, I have even less time to paint than before. Too many activities combined with more to do at work. Sigh. Nothing to do but keep on truckin'. Get what I can done.

Only finished model is Hulk from Marvel United. Fun mini. Looking forward to more of them. Especially Punisher and the deluge of mutants to come in 2022.

Hope to have more soon. Thanks for looking!
