For me with Mr Ra, its the hooded head that really spoils it- too much Primaris chaplain going on for an eldar, I want an OTT xenos helmet godammit! The rest could be better but, as I'm not an eldar man, is forgivable.
Anyway, there are other places to moan about this and there is so much to love here (as usual!). Bit late but great selction of minis in the advent calendar - thanks for all of them! - though nothing beats the sight of the Zoat horde! Year end summary was cool too, so many great mins, the I enjoyed the marvel guys, really suit your painting style, and the sylvaneth/wraithguard conversions. Look forward to seeing the Space Marine conversion painted getting the new year off to a great start.

Great drawings too, keep 'em coming

It is one of Vect's ladies. At Games Day 2000 (merciful Zeus, that was 22 years ago) they were selling packs with just the girls, so I bought a few. This is the last of those, but I also have an unopened Vect that I picked up at a swap meet and have no intention of building as-is, so there's still gas in that tank.

Viterbi, maybe she's a Sister Infiltrata in need of extraction?

That's a good compromise

Thank you all for the comments!

Had some time to paint so worked on a couple minis. Felt good to be working. Trying something new for the white armor, which strangely turned out looking a lot like weak Contrast. Eh, I'll live with it.

Also snapped a pic of the packaging for Vect's gals to show how times have changed and commemorate being able to just buy them off the rack.

And a nautoskull, for fun.

Thanks for looking!

The white on the last post is really cool, another new chapter being developed?

A little topical cream'll clear that right up, Theo.

Thanks, gobert! He's part of the same Chapter, just paints his armor a different color due to his Moritat life choices.

Pic of a Kingdom Death White Speaker. That KS is not a fun place to be right now.

Amazing drawings! Really digging the style.

Nice work on the white armor so far. Looks very crisp.
Good start on Hannah (I presume?) as well.

Thank you, Ezki.

For the White Speaker I took some cues from the art in the KD rulebook. So, I made sure to have plenty of art marks/texture on the skin and such. Never a bad thing to have some stray marks, but here it was a conscious choice.

More WiP for the Marine. Slow and steady.

And another drawing. Grendel Prime/the Paladin is probably my favorite, and Hunter Rose gets props for being first, but I first discovered Grendel with Christine Spar, and as such she will always hold a special place. Also, she wears the costume better.

Thanks for looking!

Interesting... I'm pretty sure I've only ever come across the Hunter Rose Grendel, never realised there had been several iterations, seems I have some catching up to do.

Thanks, guys. Glad you like him.

Mid-week painting slump. Hope to get something going tonight. I do have a bit of art to share, hopefully you like it.

I am internet friends with the owner of Obscure Reference Games, makers of Overlords of Infamy, and was involved in multiple brainstorming sessions when that game was being developed. When he wanted to start working on a new game, Dimensions of Discord Online (not sure if that stayed the title), he reached out to me to help with the art. While I did not have the time or resources to devote to doing that, I did produce a bunch of sketches to help him along and show as concepts to real working artists. Mostly player character types, but I did a few monsters, including an unofficial mascot, the Mucilaginous Sphere. The setting was sort of sci-fantasy anime.

A witch/rogue with a tesla gauntlet.

An elf/dark elf assassin with a nasty spirit living in her bracelet. Always been pretty happy with how this one turned out.

A necromancer. The rest of him is fairly meh, but the living scythe and eyepatch are fun.

An orb-lock marshal. Typical paladin type with magic TK control over his gear.

The muci-sphere. Pencils and finished version. Adorable.

So far, this hasn't gone anywhere. ORG is a one-man show and covid really killed his time at conventions pushing his game. Maybe one day it will get made.

Anyway, hope to get some painting done. Thanks for looking!

Thank you! Glad you are still digging this dive into my drawing past.

Slow week for painting, but I finished the Marine. Started varnish and basing process, but here is a sneak preview.

And another picture. Spiral apparently did some time with X-Force. I didn't read it, but the costume was awesome.

Working on Hannah. Always more to do. Thanks for looking!

IMO, the work that focuses on solos is the best: Hunter Rose, Christine Spar, Brian Li Sung, Eppy Thatcher, Grendel Prime...

When it's diffused into a 'Grendel society', it kinda falls apart for me.

What's really exciting for Grendel comes much later this year:

I must say, you did a most excellent job on that drawing of Spiral, especially with the foreshortening on the leg. Comparing her to that necromancer you showed off, I think you're a bit better at drawing the ladies than the men. It's kind of the opposite problem I have.

Thank you, everyone!

I feel it's fair to say I have devoted more time and effort to depicting the female form.

Final pics of Roland, the Astartes gunslinger. Hile! Long days and pleasant nights.

And another drawing. Back in school I spent a lot of time drawing cavorting angel girls and devil girls. Later in life I drew one that was both.

Spoiler:

Thanks for looking!

Great Scot! That jump pack is a thing of beauty. The heat stress is great, Roland should maybe think about cooling his jets a little. Maybe do a bit of shooting for a while before he jumps away?

Great work on the pics, we can tell you’ve spent a fair bit of time on the female form

Great work on the jump pack fellow! When I eventually get some SoB models, I think I'm going with white armor, and this gives me plenty of ideas.

Lovely drawing!
Been thinking about a tattoo with some form of angelic / daemonic features on a same character (sort of like the two sides of a coin kind thingy).
Very inspiring stuff.

I hear you like jump packs, so will give you more jump in your jump pack so you can out jump the pack .

Nice work on the heat stress and the conversion in general.
