An Eldar Avatar taken down in one round of shooting by spinegaunts.

Back in early 5th edition, my guard squad ended up in CC with Lucius the Eternal (IIRC). They couldn't hurt him, but he was flubbing his rolls bad too, so that in 3-4 rounds of combat, I only lost a couple guard, and Lucius managed to kill himself with 1s.

i played yesterday and my TFG at my store had 3 riptides 4 knights and like 7 broadsides or something. he shot at my last squad of guard infantry and missed with all of his guns. his missle his blast templates... evrything. i then shot his knights to death with deepstriking melta vets and managed to tie the game

I had a unit of grotts kill a unit of stormsheilds (space wolves, not sure unit)

My lone crusader takes 9 invuln saves from a flamer template before his shield finally melted on the last save. He spared his henchmen unit and cotaez the trouble!

Same game and same unit my missionary and cotaez accept a challenge from a burgle bike squad. The missionaries rosaries goes on to save him through combat for the next 3 turns as the rest of the henchmen squad is slowly whittled down in the background.

I had a riptide lose its last wound to a single guard.

In another game I had an entire farsight bomb squad (1000 or so points) lose one wound in combat and get swept after combat.

Lastly, my shadow field archon took a gamble with a singing spear wound.... first time I've ever been triple toughed...

I once had my sm captain get insta-gibbed by a random krak rocket. Last time I ever forgot to buy the shield eternal

Before the new SM codex came out I had a veteran scout sgt with a grav pistol and ccw charge and kill a FW riptide after 2 turns of cc, and then consolidate, charge and kill the regular riptide that my opponent had as well. He then ended the game on an objective that let me win by 1 pt.

Needless to say he has been promoted to captain of the 10th company.

Nah.

I once witnessed Fateweaver die in close combat to two gun drones. He had two wounds left. Both gun drones hit, wounded, and he failed both saves.

In terms of my own units, I once had 3 striking scorpions (exarch and 2 pals), die in a single round a shooting to 4 imperial guardsmen with lasguns.

I once had a regular, un-upgraded Imperial Guard Sargent kill a Vanguard Veteran Sargent in a challenge. Needless to say my opponent was not impressed.

That and my Dads Army themed CCS have performed miracles with a combination of camo gear, a 5+ save and FNP allowing them to massacre things that should have murdered them outright, including 5 LotD with a Heavy Flamer and a Flamer.

I had a similar occurrence on the other side of the board one game, except it was a weird boy who killed himself. I got first blood before my first turn even began!

Once fought an Ork army led by a Big Mek with Shokk Attack gun. He teleported himself into a unit of 20 CSM's, assaulted, and got punched to death before he could attack. Ah, 6E...

So, to break in my buds new gaming table, last night we played a 1000 point game, Salamanders vs. Necrons. His chapter master got stuck in with 10 Immortals and my Overlord for the course of 3 turns. He had a 2+/3++/5+++ and wouldn't yield to my Overlord, and vice versa. The Immortals beat him to death in the meantime, and he lost his last 2 wounds in one phase when he failed three 2+ saves at once and only making 1 FNP roll.

My rhino tank rushing a chapter master. The cheese (th, the shield eternal, 2+ on a bike with a iron hand tactics) chapter master, death or glory, guy rolled double 6s

Not all the ones on this list made me laugh, but the image of a Chapter Master being crushed by a Rhino is one of the few that did.

Way back in 5th edition I killed a Wraithlord with a Rhino tank shock. he Death or Glory'd, and ripped off the Stormbolter!

I had a lone bloodbride who charged a Chimera, slapped a melta bomb on it and blew it up only to be killed in the resulting explosion...

Most recently- Brother's Chaos Lord with jump pack HoW 's into melee with my DE Archon who promptly makes his save (I imagined a somersault or flip out of the way). Archon promptly nicks the Lord with a huskblade turning him into a dried up corpse.

Once one of my firewarriors actually killed a Chaos Space Marine in melee. I lost the melee combat ended up killing over half the chaos marines. My friend was surprised to say the least.

Someday I'll be champion of the ninjer. Someday.

I've never seen that happen after that.

Also my IG friend was all like. Hahah you play Tau. They don't believe in melee he kept reminding me (the guy who actually read the codex and has the army). I had eradicated his front line meatshield in front of his tanks which he had the rear armor backed up to the edge of the table.

I jumped my Riptide beside his tanks and started to tear them to pieces. Suffice to say he was pissed.

In my last game (3 way between myself, my regular opponent and my brother) I had high hopes of my brother's Necron Scarabs nibbling Mephiston to death, but he just survived with a single wound left.

Last game I played against my Necron buddy. It was incredibly horrible.

He had his Overlord in his Chariot, who charged my Seer Council, which still had one Farseer and 4 Warlocks.

He rolled his Impact hits, and got 6 hits. All 6 wounded. I failed every single save.

The Overlord literally just ran over an entire jetseer council. I don't want to think about what the Infinity Circuit is going to think of those Warlocks when they get those Soulstones back.

My chapter master, a total of 225 points had 1 wound left, he joined a centurion squad to gain T5- charged at a SINGLE gargloyle tyranid, 2 shots, 1 hits, 1 wound. Ok lets look out sir- roll a 1. Ok fine armour save. rolls a 1. Ok FNP from warlord trait. Rolls a 1.

MFW my chapter master died to a single gargoyle shooting overwatch.

my friend took like 20 assasins or something for apoc game. he put them into the formations so he infitrated 6 assasins near my catachan command squad. the first one charges and dies to overwatch. the second one fails its charge. the third and fourth one roll snake eyes and the last 2 get into combat kill everyone but my flag wava and my company captain. i then had my captain kill on and in the seond round of combat murder the other assasin. the 3 that had failed there charge were shot to bits by rapid firing squad of 50 conscripts with FrFsrF

Im not sure if it counts or not but my friends home brewed super character whom was a CC themed monster (and now looking back waaayyyyy overpowered for what he costed with S and T 6 and Rage, Instant Death and a S+2 AP2 powersword) was killed by my basic Imperial Guard Commander. Said Commander then went on to kill a Vindicator, survive a round of shooting from Sternguard and then assault said Sternguard, killing 3 of them. The game ended but we continued the commander vs Sternguard fight. He killed them all.
And all this was whilst he was on one wound left.

Said commander is now called Lukas Caine and has a huge character backstory.

Charge Landspeeder squadron.

Champion kills Landspeeder, takes hull point off another.

Champion clearly has legs made of flubber.

Khorne bezerkers charge my Skitarii vanguard, they roll 50+ attacks hit with 5 then fail to wound, vanguard alpha hits back with his 3 TASER attacks, 3 6s, 9 instant deaths. Vanguard CLUB KHONE BEZERKERS TO DEATH WITH THEIR CARBINES. 1 Bezerker lives, next turn the dice gods abandon me and the lone bezerker chops though half the squad. I trigger my Doctrina boasting my weapon skill by 2 and beat him to death in realization. Survivors regroup, and are blown up next turn by a defiler that just came on from reserve.
