Apologies if this has been discussed before, but I've been looking at getting more terrain for Bolt Action, and was wondering what people out there are doing.
I have the Warlord modular ruined hamlet set, which seems to be 'proper' 28mm. Despite some warpage on a couple of the larger pieces, it's not a bad set.
However, it appears that a number of other plastic terrain sets which Warlord sells as suitable for Bolt Action (such as the stone walls, stone bridge and tank traps) are actually just Italeri 1/72 scale sets. The stone wall set seems okay, but the tank traps will obviously be too small and I suspect the bridge is too.
What about the other Italeri 1/72 scale buildings? They have quite a nice range of houses, including the large Berlin house, as well as a bunker. Is anyone using these with 28mm models?

Yeah the walls are definitely 1/72 italeri but they've never bothered me next to 1/56. They have a few plastic 1/56 building on their site but they are generally much older in time period with thatched roofs ect..
Are you against laser cut mdf for 28mm? That Sarissa precision stuff looks nice.

We use the Italian buildings for 28mm naps but you need to replace the doors. They look small but ok for mass battles.
Can try and dig out a pic if you want?

I've just started buying some BA stuff, I'm planning to use the Mantic Mars Attacks scenery (the brickwork stuff, minus the Americana accessories) to represent bombed out areas of a town.

Airfix do some 1/32 scale and some 1/26 scale kits. Neither scale is a great match to 28mm though.

MiniatureBuildingAuthority sells some nice pre painted buildings.
They are running a new Kickstarter right now.
On the pricey side, but the stuff is top of the line, with removable roofs and upper floors.

Actually the walls and bridge are pretty great. The walls are a good enough height for 28mm that they can see over them.
The bridges are wider than tanks, so can easily fit one. They are also perfect length to fit right over the plastic prepainted Pegasus Hobbies river set. I've attached an image from last Saturday's Battle of Kursk event that I ran at my FLGS.
As for the tank traps set, they are pretty good too, plus the barbed wire is very handy. I've attached an image from the Battle of Berlin event that I ran back in May. You can see the size of the tank traps and wire next to some tanks and infantry.
Italeri has an official 1/56 28mm Bolt Action plastic modular building coming out soon, in the next two months I believe, and Rubicon has had one in design to be released also soon-ish.

Thanks for the responses.
Strombones - I've never seen laser cut stuff in the flesh. It looks okay in photos. I do prefer plastic.
Big P - I would be interested in seeing what you've done with the Italeri Italian buildings. I bought the Berlin house, which seems large enough, except that presumably the windows and doors are meant to be substantially larger than a man.
Manchu - at the moment I'm looking for terrain more suited to NW Europe.
Judgedoug - your photos do seem to suggest that even the tank traps are usable, although in real like they were quite substantial. Rubicon put their modular building kit on ice, which (IMO) was just as well as it didn't really look right. Maybe Italeri's will be okay, although the design is rather bland.
