Time to pick what we'll be painting next month! Since I forgot to ask for theme suggestions this month, this is a mix of ones that were suggested previously but didn't win/get used and a couple off the top of my head.

This month, the options you can vote for are:

'Be mindful of your surroundings!'- your model should be in some way interacting with its environment. This could be achieved through basing, a diorama, composition or paintwork, or any other way you can think of.

'Holier Than Thou!'- Your model should be connected to some deity (doesn't have to be a nice one, Chaos Gods are just as acceptable as Elven ones here!) or Holy faction (eg. Knights Templar, Sisters of Battle, Stormcast Eternals, Plague Marines ect)

'Tis But A Scratch'- At least one model in your entry should be carrying some kind of injury, anything from a bandaged cut to a severed head (hey, Zombies are people too! ) is fine. It can be a solo model, or as part of a fitting diorama, such as receiving aid from a medic or facing down a foe and fighting through injury)

'All Hallow's Eve/Trick Or Treat'- Your entry should include something scary, devious, dangerous or unearthly. Anything from a kid with a sheet draped over his head going 'woooooh' to a Demon Prince of Chaos goes!

So, folks, what do you want to paint in October? (I should be able to resume hosting duties by then as well. Like Arnie said, 'I'm back!' )

I'm not bothered which one wins here, I have lots of stuff for all 4 categories!

I do have some ideas though.

Option 1: Plastic Vindicare from Execution Force
Option 2: Lord Relictor Ionus Cryptborn
Option 3: Space Hulk Terminator
Option 4: Er... I have lots to choose from here. I'll get back to you lol.

Hrm, not really feeling this month’s options. I have a chaplain I could do for the holy one. I’ll scrape around if one of the others wins. Trick or Treat might just see some skeletons come off the back of the bench to see some paint. Surroundings I guess I could do a scout. Flesh wound would be rough, as I generally don’t do damaged looking minis.

Same for me. I've got plenty for that one!

Looks like it's taken a huge lead too... now to decide whether to do Genestealers, zombies, mutants, orcs or something even more frightful...

Hmm, I may have something, something related to a certain mess of a naval game, a kid who wasn't very intelligent, quite a bit of a GW fanboy and, casually, me, and quite a few badly spent €uros.

Ghost Pirate Ship, forward, to victoreeeeh!!!

Would a Fire Daemon fit in any of these categories?

INSANE army lists still available!!!! Now being written in 8th edition format! I have Index Imperium 1, Index Imperium 2, Index Xenos 2, Codex Orks Codex Tyranids, Codex Blood Angels and Codex Space Marines!
PM me for an INSANE (100K+ points) if you desire.

Hooray, three years later we have a use for Dreadfleet! Watch the sales (or should that be sails?) soar this month... oh, wait, shame GW recalled and destroyed the remaining stock rather than... you know, trying to sell it at a discount (now that is a spooky thought!)

I'm down for Trick or Treat, could be really fun

Shadowrun is the best game ever. It's the only thing I have ever played in which I have jumped out of a shot out van with a chainsaw to cut a flying drone in half before leveling a building with ANFO assisted by a troll, a dwarf, an elf, and a wizard.

I just trimmed up my Bones Gauntfield. He may get some backup, but he'll be perfect. Plus nice and easy to finish up, maybe have some time for a small graveyard scenery element.

I dunno, I'm pretty sure I'd handy out sweets to a 50-foot battle engine if it knocked on/down my door on Halloween! Better that than risk the trick, which is probably a Rapid Fire Battle Cannon to the face...

I think that we all need a good spookin' sometimes. I choose the last option (this has nothing to do with the fact that I was planning on naming my Spektr Spooks and doing a little jack-o-lantern on his visor).

Or you know, before he actually causes San Loss.

I only voted to find the result. I don't really have anything that comes to mind for any of these themes. Maybe one of the old Diaz Daemonettes for ToT.
She's certainly a bit of both.

If it does turn out to be the Halloween theme, I may just paint the beaky marine from Dark Vengeance and let it's lack of detail scare people.

In all seriousness I'd probably convert some Harlequins using my Eldar bits and some Wyches.

Grim Dark Angels Interrogator-Chaplain

A Protoss colony world

I have something for all the categories, I think (although I voted for Trick or Treat):
Surroundings: Sniper Scouts. They don't interact with their surroundings so much as blend into them.
Holier than Thou: Interrogator-Chaplain (alternate: Stormcast Eternal). Give me an excuse to paint this guy!
Scratch: Chaos Cultists. Most of them have some kind of scarring/bandages.
Halloween: Daemon Prince. Really I could do any of my Khorne models for this one, but Para specifically mentioned Daemon Princes...

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700
