What do you really enjoy playing with - aesthetically, thematically, cinematically (oh that naughty word), fun-wise.

For me (and for a while) it has been a unit of Leman Russes. The model, the loadouts, the "feel", the power (but also vulnerability). They just feel.....Juicy.

Honourable mention to the Swramlord (model, feel, abilities) and (albeit Unbound) big units of Terminators - big, tough, deepstriking, never give in attitude (until they get chipped down by Grots )

Harlequin Solitaire. Sure sometimes it dies because some guys with Lasguns saw it move around, but often he finds a juicy target and just GOES TO TOWN! It's the coolest, most thematic unit I own!

I have a unit of Grotesques converted from Confrontation Wulfen to represent the Space Wolf scouts the Prophets of Flesh turned into monsters. They're fluffy, look great, and are dynamite on the tabletop.

I have a unit of Assault Marines. This unit has taken down nearly everything, from the Swarmlord, an Avatar of Khaine, and even a Dreadknight. They are my MC hunters.

Honorable mention to my Wyverns, just for killing everything they hit.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

My favorite is a tie between my Seraphim and my squad of three Penitent Engines. The Seraphim are arguably more consistently fun and tactically a better choice, but it's just so much fun to watch those three murder-fueled zealots rush down the field and absolutely decimate whatever gets in their way if they get there. Plus the models are just amazing, despite the fact that they stay together about as well as a clump of wet sand.

Thallax. without even needing to think.
tough, well-armed, deepstriking, jetpack troops with three wounds each that stop infiltrators appearing within 24" as well as reducing enemy cover saves while scoring objectives and able to take the mighty phased-plasma fusil every one in three - also with augments, melta-bombs and heavy chainblades.
The augments can give them tank hunters, skyfiring when stationary or CC buffs.. etc, etc...

Thallax are awesome!

Heavy Quad Launchers (or 'Thudd guns'). Some times they miss their mark completely, some times they are spot on and absolutely annihilate whatever they target.

And they look so ww1/2, which fits the theme of my Renegades: a bunch of idiots with vastly outdated equipment throwing rocks and using home-made mortars to fight the military might of the Imperium, Necron dynasties and anything else inbetween.

I also love my Fire Raptor. It can switch the entire game around in my favor when it comes roaring onto the table, guns blazing, dropping enemies (literally) left and right.

3rd Edition Hive Tyrant. Going to be replaced with a Forge World version.

Huron Blackheart and Chosen in all the colors of the rainbow. A squad I pieced together from ebay that other people painted. Different paint styles, different Chapters, all Red Corsairs now.

Lugft Huron and a Terminator squad. Nothing says 'I've come to kick ass' like six Terminators with two Heavy Flamers and a lot of anger. I do wish there was a Terminator Command squad, but oh well.

And my Ultramarines always need their Tyrannic War Veterans. I like the buffs the unit gets and Cassius is a good model. Usually not my primary attackers, but it's a good place to slot in a fluffy Captain too. Calgar might get an appearance in there every so often too. I'll have to see.

50 conscripts with a commissar. The do work. Most people don't want to waste shots at them or underestimate them. End up fighting them all game.

I can just imagine how it looks for them. The front line gets mowed over. The rest look back unsure of whether to keep going or follow their instinct and run for it. Then see the commissar beckoning with their pistol to keep going.

My Emperor's Champion.

Eh bolt pistols terminators to death and doesn't afraid of anything. Always leads the charge, and he's got a history of beating the snot out of enemy ultramarines (long story). Made him out of spare parts, and I just love watchin him munch through the opponents favourite units with a giant mob of crusaders.

My big blobs of guardsmen lead by an omnissiah worshipping priest. No matter what happens in the game, I can always count on my blobs to hold the bloody line, and on their heavy weapons fire to mow down enemies as they attack

Also, they can beat down anything from terminators to dreadknights with their fists and the roaring machine cant of the priest.

It's a tie between:

Ravenwing command squad, full strength with an apothecary. With an interrogator chaplain on a bike with mace of redemption.

A regular command squad all magnetized for their guns, but usually 4x plasma or melta and an apothecary. With a librarian with mastery level two and conversion field. Mounted in a razorback.

Both units turned out well during painting (I'm not a good painter), and just like the look and feel of them and their play style. Plus they almost always make more than their points back.
