It’s slow going but I’ve nearly finished my squad of Tree-revenants. Here’s the first of the bunch nearly done, the Scion.

That beastgrave group is amazing! Great job.

The Tree Revenant is a great mix of muted and bright tones.

Currently list-tweaking to make a nasty Khorne list with a 24”-34” threat range on turn 1. Thanks to Ninth for a brilliant suggestion to add.

Annoyingly I ran out of texture paint for their bases and need to buy more... but here is the unit mostly done!

Spent the last few days making push-molds of various mushrooms in the Gloomspite range to fill out the bases more.

A journey of a thousand miles, single step. Yada yada. Havent painted anything in years and now my partner has gotten big into AoS 2.0. as in, we bought a 2000 point Deepkin army big. I thought I would start with just a Warcry Warband that I might actually get painted, might actually play in warcry and maybe even work into a Chaos army someday. Really neat model this one. Those capes are something special that I love doing, add a ton of flair and don't take very long to make them look great. The rest of the details took quite a bit longer and still not entirely satisfied with the skin or the clothes. The picture washes out the purple of the armor/clothes even more. However I think it's a good enough first step.

Unboxed just some of my AoS stuff to get them sprayed for some winter painting.

2x starter set Khorne army with some extra heroes and converted Deathbringer. Infantry need to be sprayed white for contrast paints.

2x starter set Stormcast army with some extra heroes, some converted. They’re primed except the flying guys whose wings I finished magnetizing last night.

The Black Orc army has been hanging around forever. I was doing Skarsnik’s night goblins (still in a box somewhere) with Grimgor’s Immortulz but the army languished. These are the only WHFB guys I cut off square bases and rebased. For a little while Grimgor has points and an AoS profile but now the model I converted is just a black orc boss and Grimgor has grown into a Megaboss. I cut off the goofy looking axe to make a heavy choppa, added a standard to be his helm slung over his back, and built him up so he’s almost as tall as a demon prince.

And, of course, Gotrek.

Not pictured: Night goblins/trolls, lizardmen, and a Chaos chariot/knight army from when chariots were core.

Finished my Legion of Grief about a week or two ago. Going to be picking up the Ossiarch Bonereapers, which will be my ongoing AoS project for 2020.

Yea! The Tao-tronics lamp is phenomenal value! I use a pair of them for lamps I can also make mobile, and 2 Ikea swing-arm lamps that I have attached to my desk.

Finally started painting up my Gloomspite Gitz again after a month of working 6 days a week. In my excitement, I made the mistake of trying to finish 5 models in one day. It took about 6 hours and I had a horrible migraine afterward. but now I just have one unit of squig hoppers left and I will have finished painting up my Looncurse boxes. Thank god contrast paints let me work fast.

On the modeling front (sorry, no pics);

1) One week after winning our first Path to Glory campaign I've finally finished painting my Fyreslayers.

2) Just started my force for the next PtG campaign - Gloomspites. This'll go a lot faster as I've got plenty of night goblins from previous editions. Just need to paint up a Mangler Squig & a couple of Trogs.

Took a break for far too long and decided to grab a model just to get me painting again.
Nothing special, but to me it’s good enough to use on a table so I’m happy with it.

They are mainly just squiggles though.
He was speed painted for a small competition, so they are fairly quick and rushed.

I will likely neaten them up later on though now it’s not against the clock lol.
