Took a bit longer than I had intended, but my Gitmob Wolf Riders are ready for the battlefield!

Another Slapchop approach army, and one superbly well-suited for it (lots of lovely texture on that fur!).

I penned a few notes on the paint scheme, and would happily recommend it to anyone who wants these boys on the table in double quick time.

Got a Shaman on War Wheela and a Doom Diver all built up and undercoated, just need to find some time to get some paint on them...

I'm now working on my Old World Dwarfs.

They're refugees from the Cities faction (I don't expect them to stay there much longer likely going Legends with the next book)

They are gonna stay on their rounds and enjoy life as a two system army.

Gonna use War of the Ring style trays for Old World and I'm converting up new additions to have them work as Kharadron in AoS.

It's funny how a conversion idea can send me off on a whole new project.

This time it was this realization about the Kharadron terrain piece.

The new terrain piece is immobile and spits out standalone minis. That could fit the Anvil perfectly!

So that's the first addition.

painting up extra Dwarf heros in a ghostly scheme as spirits of honoured ancestors that help their kin to be the new Bots.

Runesmith to deal with Manifestations
Oathstone Lord to intimidate enemies and mess their control score up.
Engineer with Handgun as the damage bot

So that’s both the Soulblight Gravelord spearheads done. They need to share the 20 skeletons. I have 20 more on round bases in the primed pile, but that’s a low priority. Especially as 10 of them are very old and ugly.

But this is the core to my Army on Parade. I’ve got more painted (and even had it on the board) but forgot to grab that pic, like an idiot. Oh well. More stuff needs paint anyway. Another unit of barrow knights, some dire wolves, and some other odds and ends. Maybe another unit of barrow guard, but I think the wolves might have bumped them out of the 2k list.

I have been a bit distracted by the new Horus Heresy (go Death Guard!) but I finally managed to polish off the last two models of my Gitmob army - the Frazzlegit Shaman and, of course, the Doom Diver...

The Doom Diver is (obviously) a fun model. One little trick here was doing the oil/grease on the launch ramp in Black Templar, and then going over that with Ardcoat to make it look suitably slimy!

Tonight I have to paint up a Goblin Netter.
He's earned it.

Over 3 rounds of melee vs some Nurgle warriors this guys net ability saved dozens of Grot lives, turning hits into near misses.
This allowed my Mob to slowly erode the foe while keeping them from an objective.

After many, many months of sitting on the shelf, waiting to be painted (and looking down... judging me...), I finally got Gobsprakk painted!

Kudos to the Warhipster for the paint scheme.

Ever had a model released and you just think you need to get it painted up quickly?

The Scarlet Jury set for the Flesh-Eater Courts went right up my flagpole when it appeared, and this weekend I was finally able to sit down and get it done...

What do you use for your skin? I’ve got some zombies and was looking for something in that undead blue/grey/green shade.

Very nice work.

It is a piece of cake, and very quick.

Basically, undercoat Wraithbone, use Coelia Greenshade the skin, and drybrush (lightly) Screaming Skull.

What I did was paint all the details (fur, bones, etc) first, then do the skin - and then you can do that Screaming Skull drybrush over everything at once, saving a lot of time.

Some Morbheg Knights for the Flesh-Eater Courts. Ended up doing nine of the Bat-Knights and, I have to say, Ratling Grime works so well for the bat fur - really turned out well, I think!

Got some more Flesh-Eaters to do (want a 40-strong 'rabble' of Crypt Ghouls), but a little bird tells me that a couple of army sets of Chorfs are landing on my desk later today, and I will be dropping everything to get them done. All going well, hope to have some piccies of them next week!

Prosecutors are probably one of the best looking units in the game. Kind of wish i'd voted for them now. Anyway, first of six.

I have been waiting a long time to do these guys, but eBay prices for just three models always fended me off. Now, with a re-release, The Wurmspat can finally grace my table!

Bit the bullet, and painted up 40 Crypt Ghouls in one batch - turned out not to be a massive chore.

Figure these guys all group together in battle and just charge forward as a mob of maniac peasant militia!
