Painted up Vexnar the Reaper to test my NMM scheme for the Gorechosen fighters. These guys are really great, IMO, the Gorechosen game is GW´s best production in a long time

Over the holiday I finally had time to finish up some models. Hoping this weekend to make some more progress on my Ironjawz and Flesh Eaters. These are all the Bloodbound I finished, mostly starter box stuff and some Gorechosen heroes etc...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And here's the SC I finished up. Still have some Judicators to paint up. Going to do them in a different scheme. Figured out I hate this palette by the time I was done

Nearly finished work on Adira, and will be grabbing a Magmadroth mount for her tomorrow to start work on!
Adira, youngest daughter of the Phoenix Queen and head of the War Clan stands as enforcer of Justice for the Fire Aelves, such as it is. Centuries out in the darkness fending off chaos have let their empires move beyond laws of morality, instead Justice to the Aeloran kingdoms is a matter of oaths and strength. Should a Fire Aelf give their word or swear to duty, they obey not only out of honour but fear of the shadow of Adira falling over those who break such bonds. Too long at war has left broken oaths and weakened resolve too great a risk to the Fire Aelves, should a guard fail in his duty to protect food stores the whole village could swear, should a trader not honour his word with supplies a garrison could be under equipped when attacked.

As such those in the kingdom who would not honour their word for love of the Phoenix Queen do so for fear of the Shadow at their backs. Adira employs her own personal guard The Draken, massive lizardkin native to Aqysh capable of scenting Guilt and Weakness in their prey, in the wild it allows them to hunt down the weakest of prey with ease. However in the employ of the princess it has allowed her to forgoe such trivialities as trial and jury, instead relying on the Draken to pick out the guilty and dispatch them swiftly.

During the Season of war mixed reports arose of Aeloran armies burning survivors from chaos ravaged villages, some claiming human or duardin guards who had hidden or deserted their wards during the assaults were dragged before the war court of Adira and executed mercilessly. Justice was swift for the victims that such sorry souls had failed. As a general Adira is as rutheless and cuthroat as they come, those who take up arms against the innocent or the Aeloran empire receive no mercy nor terms for their surrender. The very act of standing against her clan is considered crime enough to merit just and righteous execution.

Hey all! Starting getting into AoS (at least the painting aspect) since I have begun working on my Death vs Life chess set, using Undead vs Wood Elves and Treekin.
The undead are first, still have Black Knights to do for chess Knights, and will be doing a Vampire King and Queen and another Necromancer as a Bishop.

Hope you like the pics of the set so far!

In the Warp, getting trolled by Tactical_Spam, AKA TZEENTCH INCARNATE

Currently working on my Slaaneshi Path to Glory warband, I'm trying to get them all built and ready for priming before my hobby-butterfly syndrome kicks in again

So far, I've got...

1x Chaos Lord
1x Chaos Sorcerer Lord

10x Gors
10x Daemonettes
1x Gorebeast Chariot
3x Chaos Knights
1x Chaos Spawn

... built, and next in line are:

1x Lord of Slaanesh on Daemonic Steed
1x Daemon Prince
2x Chaos Knights
5x Hellstriders
1x Twin-headed snake from Bushido I intend to use for something

37 models in total, which will probably take me half a year to complete. In the meantime, MongooseMatt will probably have built and painted 5 new armies, 3 pieces of scenery, and have played more actual games of AOS than I will probably in my entire lifetime

And then I still have some Skeletons to work on...

Tactical_Spam: Ezra is fighting reality right now.

War Kitten: Vanden, you just taunted the Dank Lord Ezra. Prepare for seven years of fighting reality...

War Kitten: Ezra can steal reality

Kharne the Befriender:Took him seven years but he got it wrangled down

It really doesn't take long, and if you have a DVD box set on at the same time, you really don't notice whether something takes long or not

For example, here are three Stonehorns/Thundertusks I finished this week!

Working on a knight questor for some skirmish gaming. Wanted him to have an oldschool knight look.

I've also started building a small retinue for him with bret men at arms bodies, skeleton shields and other bits.

In fluff terms he's a knight questor who travelled far into the realm of beasts and found a small village in a vast marsh land. While he was there he vowed to slay a foul creature of chaos that had been plaguing the villagers. During his fight he slew the beast but was almost killed. Rather than being reforged however, the villagers found him and bore him back with them, healing him in their chapel to the sun god and decorating his armour in veneration of his great deeds.
Now a group of villagers have vowed to serve him as he served them, following him around as squires, minstrels and scribes, recording his deeds and helping him in combat.
