Thanks FWC! :-)

Looking forward to seeing your KO getting painted. I am currently working on 3 Endrinriggers which will get added into my mixed Order army. :-)

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Thanks Madmatt! I'm trying to speed up my painting so almost everything on the model is 1 base coat layer, 1 wash layer, 2 edge highlights (so no reapplying the base after the wash, and no "two thin coats").

Haha, the hairs on the back of his neck will have stood up as soon as I posted that. A disturbance in the force :-p

So this guy is a Keeper of Secrets conversion I finished over a year ago and half painted several months back. It long ago hit the point of me just wanting it to be done so I did a quick finish. Even though the paint job isn't up to what I originally intended I'm very happy to have it done.

Looks great Ninth! Really cool conversion. If you could get a bit more colour on the base somehow as its a little dark. Maybe a very soft drybrush of a light grey?

Thanks!

The color correction on the photo makes the base look darker than it actually is, basically imagine an extra drybrush of light grey.

What I've nearly fully finished for my Kharadron Overlords. The warplock bronze on the armor is going to be drybrushed lightly in a copper color and the rest will be actually shaded and highlighted as appropriate. I simply only had a few busy days to finish these.

Ran these guys in skirmish and just sorta won the day. The admiral and gunnery sergeant (or should I say his drillbeak) certainly proved their worth during the matches.

All the rest of my forces are still being worked on, but I have a 2000 point army lined up to be finished by the end of the month for a 2v2 and 2000 points per person tourney.

The gold on the weapons is a great idea, looks awesome with that color scheme.

That reminds me of a funny storey. I was versing ironjawz in a skirmish and got the warboss down to 1 wound with the admiral. He then went on to charge my sergeant and the drill-beak nailed him, won me the day.

The drill beak killed about 9 models by itself. The admiral killed more or less 90% of the rest.

Also thanks! The gold was a bit of a debate on my end, but I wasn't using that much of the color and I thought silver gloves with silver weapons would be weird. 10 man company squads all with golden swords and gun barrels is really striking though. You can pick out easily all the blades before being able to distinguish different models.

Just a quick WIP from myself today. As I shape up for a tournament in September (Blackout) I have 3 Endrinriggers of my own almost done. Gone for a unqiue scheme in that there is hardly any metallics, it's in a futuristic space grey with red stripes and is up to the eyeballs in battle damage. What do you all think?

Its hard to form an opinion when they aren't painted yet!

(jk they look great)

To make a specific suggestion, I think even a little work with hobby knife to add cuts & dents before painting would add a lot of definition, especially for the rusted gaps and corner cuts.

Indeed. Those are some interesting bases you used, but I'd definitely call that modeling for advantage, Bottle. Shame one you

Wow Bottle, they look amazing. To be honest they're the first Kharadrons I find pretty. What grey is that?

The red stripes with battle damage is fantastic too.

I'm very impressed, well done. Can't wait to see a ship with that painting level.

Thanks bro (and great to see you back here!) the grey is one coat of Administratum Grey over white undercoat, washed with a 3:1 mix of Lahmian Medium and Agrax Earthshade and then immediately highlighted with Ulthan Grey.

Nope. I could never pull off such freehand! It's all from the Blood Bowl Dwarg Giant transfer sheet which I highly recommend. :-)

Update! Look at the most manly golden mustaches. A skyport that feels wealth is the key to good offensive and defensive power...therefore clearly golden "facial hair" is the key to might.

Love seeing the Kharadron!

They look so beautiful painted, but I'm scared off because they look so detailed too. Are they a chore?

They could be if you decide to paint and highlight on every single detail. The models have a LOT of detail on them. However even the GW painted minis don't have that detail of effort on them.
